I agree.Trump looks like he face-planted into a vat of expired spray tan, and JD Vance—eyeliner and all—follows him around like a budget Rasputin, whispering populist lines while voting like a hedge fund intern. Together, they sell working-class rage in billionaire packaging, hoping no one notices the mascara smudging the scam.
Even leftists recognize the things they support as being disgusting and fit only as insults.Petey in need of that gender-affirming care.
- Please tell me isn't from the navy!
This is from Navy.

I find you very disgusting for labeling people that you don't agree with disgusting.Even leftists recognize the things they support as being disgusting and fit only as insults.

I'd say that it's more as a Marine who fought in two wars, I tend to believe our Secretary of Defense should be a career military man with a sound 20+ service record and the minimum rank of Brigadier General.
As a foreigner who never served in the military in any capacity, you seem to think a national guardsman who works as a cable news anchor should be in charge. I was wondering if you could articulate why you think this is the better choice?
Or do you think it's possible that because you're a 40k fan, you genuinely don't know what masculinity is?
I like this idea, as much as it would break from historical norms. There have been numerous former US defense secretaries with far less distinguished military careers than Hegseth, mainly because they had no military service at all. I suppose it makes more sense in the context that they weren't put in that position to run the military so much as oversee the sprawling labyrinth of a bureaucracy that is the Pentagon. He's proven himself unqualified and should be removed due to serious character issues and indefensible recklessness, not because he was "mere" a national guardsmen.
It wasn't show much of a shot across the bow at national guardsmen, so much as it was a shot against an 0-4 outside of the main branches getting the job. More than just a bureaucracy at the Pentagon, managing our modern military is a task of incredible proportions. I want our guy to focus more on the future of warfare (a.i., drone/automation; keeping global sea lanes open) then generic stuff like more hardcore PT standards. Shit like that just plays to the rubes who want to sound tough.
But you're right. Hegseth had serious character flaws that were apparent before his confirmation. Even if you were to overlook them then, he's clearly failed to live up to the standards and needs to go. I don't know how the military could prosecute any of it's members for any security breaches without being just massive hypocrites. This piece of shit is going to get people killed. But because he's got a little make-up studio in the Pentagon so he can stream straight into Fox News for some tough guy ramblings, he gets a pass.
