I don't know what to say. I think he was stuck in an impossible situation. "Thomas Paine" and agents who were leaking to him and Giuliani should be brought to justice. I think Comey was biased and made a decision with really bad consequences for the country, but I also think he was doing the best he could and A) knows the job better than I do and B) has information that none of us have. Also note that I don't mean "biased" in the
@HereticBD or
@waiguoren way, where you just defend your team no matter what and knowingly make false claims as part of that (and don't even care if you look ridiculous in the process). I mean that he was genuinely more worried about one set of consequences than the other because of where his affinities are. More like this:
