War Room OT Discussion v4

Either of these guys winning would add a bunch to their legacy. DC would arguably be an all time GOAT and Stipe would go up the HW GOAT rankings.I think DC has more to gain going up a weight class but for Stipe he'd be adding more to his lead in HW title defenses which is great too.

DC has more to gain but I think if Stipe win, it's going to be an underrated win. DC is the best contender Stipe is fighting since getting that belt imo.

If you haven't tried it before, I highly recommend Buffalo Trace. At $25 it's the best value out there imo.

Also, Booker's and Basil Hayden are both in the Jim Beam distillery family, so I'm kinda surprised you go to Jack for cheap. I prefer Jim Beam to Jack.
All my friends drink Jack for the cheap stuff so it's usually around.

I've had Buffalo Trace before too, also a favorite.

Trump is such a goof.

"I"m a free trader - totally. I'm a fair trader. I'm all kinds of trader."

Just stop and think for a sec about all the times you've seen a Trump quote and wondered if it's real

I'm surprised it hasn't worn off yet. The transcripts are always hilarious to read because the guy doesn't use full sentences. It doesn't seem as weird when he's saying it but then you read it on paper and it's scary.

This is an excellent point and I agree with it in most cases. However, the quotation I posted is an instance in which he sounds as ridiculous as the quotation reads.

Overall I think he did a good job, but he sounded like a moron there.

The world runs on sound bytes. He could've nailed the other 20 minutes and we are sitting here in awe of that line.

Sex crimes are not good for your stock/company. Somebody said the stock looks bearish. I lol'd.

Billionaire casino mogul Steve Wynn preyed on female employees for decades — forcing sex on a manicurist and pressuring a masseuse to pleasure him, a new report says.

The Las Vegas icon’s 2005 encounter with the manicurist led to a $7.5 million payoff, according to The Wall Street Journal.

The incident was one of several sickening episodes described by more than 150 current or former Wynn employees.

Cormier turns it into a Randy Couture grindy type fight I bet he wins. If he can't keep Stipe down or against the cage, Stipe picks him apart to a UD. Doubt either guy gets finished in a losing effort though.

I know I wasn't tagged but I wanted to feel like a cool kid and respond anyway.

Tagged the people who usually comment on the subject (forgot @HomerThompson), but generally, I much prefer the MMA discussion in the WR to the HWs and your comment was aces.

Other important question. How much does either of these guys winning do to their ranking all time with their careers? Like DC pretty much has a perfect record to me but the Jones fights will always underrate him. Stipe just became the long reigning UFC HW Champ and gets a chance to beat a guys who seemed to be voluntarily leaving a division he could've controlled cause of a training partner.

DC is easily the No. 2 LHW of all time, IMO, and I think he's already a top-10 HW (never lost a round, dominated Barnett, easy wins over some decent second-tier contenders). Beating Stipe puts him way up whatever list you want. Jones is by far the best fighter we've seen in MMA, I think, so DC losing to him doesn't hurt much. He was looking brilliant in the rematch. DC would be Stipe's best win on paper so that has to help him, but probably not as much.

I agree, but...

They are both faster than Stipe. Jon controls distance the best of all 3, and has a lot of unorthodox weapons on the feet. Gus has better kicks and movement than Stipe. So, I think they are all good strikers that present their own challenges, but I don't think Stipe will outclass Cormier on the feet based on what he(Cormier) has shown against those other 2.

I think Jon probably beats Stipe as well, and Gus keeps it interesting.

Few top-level fighters move as poorly as Gus does, IMO (he's quick enough but in terms of patterns). I think Stipe would destroy him.

If we're being honest with ourselves, literally none of these guys, my boy Cain included, pose a real threat to Jon Jones. He's head and shoulders above the rest of MMA history.

Also, I don't think Cormier necessary has to go Randy Couture to win. He's shown he can strike to set up his takedowns.

@Jack V Savage this is where candlestick patterns can tell us something. Even if not useful. This is the stock of that Wynn pervert. It sunk like a stone obviously but around 2:30 pm some idiot/idiots tried to push the price way back up to what it was and got pushed back. The gravestone doji.

It is like troops going to war. The line up is an advance but it closes back down to where it was. It is pushed back hard. That $200 line is the enemy camp you are trying to capture. That huge line going up is the distance. So they traveled all that way to the enemy. Took up that much ground, only to be pushed way back to where they were. Like the Korean War lol when the Chinese pushed us back when we went too far. I see these charts as battle reports.

I think Stipe has a good style for him. And some other HWs could be a problem. But generally I agree that he's by far the best fighter we've seen.

Gus beat Jones.

It was a five-round fight. I mean, I think Jones won two of the first three rounds (and four total), but I can see giving it to Gus 2-1 if you ignore the last two rounds.

Team Stipe here. Love DC and would feel great to see him win a title and have a claim to being the best guy in his division. I think mostly like though Stipe knocks him out.
