Steve Wozniak really is a saint. He was telling the story of Apple for probably the billionth time and they asked him if he is sick of telling the story. He said absolutely not. He will never get sick of telling it. It is in his heart. It was a good time. Reminds me of CS Lewis saying that a pleasure is not fully grown until it is remembered. What I like about British politics is the satire and meanness. I am watching a documentary on how these companies avoid taxes through Irish and Dutch sandwiches or whatever. One of the Brit politicians is saying his heart is bleeding that Starbucks hasn't made any money in Britain and that is why they only pay 1 million or something. That was Starbucks excuse as to why they barely pay any taxes, they make no money in Britain. And the politicians are like, "Why the fuck are you here then?" They just sit there and mock and shame them. Which they should be shamed. They got representatives from Google, Amazon, Starbucks, etc and they are just railing on them. I want that to happen in the US. Expose people like that. And be mean about it.

Remember those show trials with baseball and steroids? That is what we need. If we can grill Mark McGwire till he cries I want to see Zuckerberg cry.

One of my biggest pet peeves: when somebody thought of something before I did.

I was just reading about Plato and right and lefthandedness. He thought it was a defection. He thought one arm was not being raised properly or whatever. It was a product of environment. And that is his philosophy in a nutshell. Symmetry and beauty over empirical observation. He starts top down with that dogma that beauty is truth. So he basically says to be weak in one arm is to be imbalanced. That symmetry again. Anyway, I had thought of that before and thought of doing it. I should have no weaknesses. My left arm should be as strong as my right. Every part of my body must be equally strong. Balance. I even thought of walking in different directions. People tend to walk to the left. I mean look at how stores are set up. They are made to go with the herd. That is how humans travel. So I will walk the perimeter of the store opposite as everyone else. I would also do walking backwards. Walking backwards does actually have benefits. Anyway, I never did any of these things I just thought it was a cool concept and maybe something to strive for. But Plato is wrong.

Bodybuilding is Platonic too.

One of my pet peeves: when people call Plátōn "Plato". How can an entire language get it wrong?

I dunno about shit source-I don't follow them much but they never struck me as a tabloid. But they're a center-right publication that focuses on international jewish-interest stories despite having little (serious) journalistic focus in the area, so they're definitely not the best source possible for this event.

Yeah, their slanted coverage of Israel and its regional comparators is pretty gross. Their audience is Western Jews, so their preaching to the choir has really distorted the integrity of their journalism over the years. And I think they've gotten kinda tabloidy too.

The request to trim your posts and those replying to them isn't a request for you to be carded. It's a request to unclutter the thread because none of those posts are related to the thread topic. If you think that calling attention to those posts is tattling on you for breaking the rules, that speaks to your frame of mind while making them.

Your qualms about whoever using the word retard are irrelevant to the Mueller thread. So are the charges of hypocrisy on the grounds that you repeatedly used the word yourself. That's why I'm bringing it here.

Now that you're here, I'm going to note that your defense that your use is acceptable "because you were calling refs or fighters retards, not other posters" is bullshit. Not just because a number of your posts do insult other posters (I'll wager it's much more than the 5 or so you claim), but because that wasn't the basis of your original objections.

Third, you complained that it wasn't in good taste. Still not relevant, as above.

Finally, you raised concerns about the warroom "degenerating" into people calling people names. This arguably ties your current position, but runs into similar problems: a substantial number of your posts are substanceless bitching, often about other posters (either specifically or as part of a group), so it's not like you do much anything to elevate the quality of the discussion. As seen in the Mueller thread, where you responded to a query-about whether you had anything on topic to contribute-with the same gif you're now whining about Homer using. (It's also historically silly- the warroom has always had some level of flaming).

Just participating. Have standards for the war room for everyone or no one, don't pick and choose. I really don't see it necessary to single me out here and report me to the mods based on what goes on in this forum everyday.

Lately every post is prefaced with a paragraph of the quality of themselves vs the guy they quoted. I do it for a few posts and people lose their shit. Me, I just played along, didn't report anyone to the mods but thats just me.

I mean really, Homerthompson just quoted you in response to me. did you post about his Robford spamming? Or did it bug you that he got Ripskater banned for the same thing? Using the mods to quiet people in the war room is as against the spirit of what this forum was as anything I can think of.
