I do a big awful face melter up-front, and then ease off to mild amounts where it's not the star of the bite, and mix it w/soy.

I use to never touch it and now find the desire to put enough on that I feel it through my nose. I always wonder what the proper amount of soy and wasabi is suppose to be. How are you suppose to use the ginger?

well this is getting way more messy. People turning on Dany, another supposedly dead dragon. Biggest takeaway I have with this episode is I now think Jamie kills Cersei or Arya does disguised as Jamie. Wasn’t the fortune for Cersei that all her children would die and her lover would kill her? How many fortunes haven’t followed through? The next episode doesn’t necessarily look like it’s a battle. They may just keep it to the NK war and have this one end diplomatically/ assasination. I say this because having the war means danys side killed a bunch of innocent people. I think the show has gotten to a point where they no longer can become complex with the morality of the storyline. They don’t want grey areas as much now for closure. I hope this isn’t necessarily true but who knows. I actually liked this episode more than episode 3 and that’s odd as I felt like the remaining part of the show was going to become anti climatic since they already saved the world.

Not going to complain much on writing here but it seemed like the scorpions on the ship weren’t capable of facing the other direction. I’m assuming they have one of both sides but if they didn’t, she could’ve just flanked them from behind. It really sucks to see a dragon just die that way. I feel like the odds of the last one staying alive are slim. I think the show is going to go the same route as the white walkers in the dragons all dying and it becoming a legend/ myth that they even existed or the white walkers. People go back to believing in all that magic or not but never being able to truly know.

Can we just talk about how shitty ginger is? Seriously, such an overrated ingredient. I think I use very a minute amount in some stir fry's, and that's about it. No wonder you can get an entire ginger root for like sixty cents Canadian.

It's awful. It's not even a big deal. The only thing you can do while using ginger, is overuse it to the point of ruining your whole meal. It's adequate in small doses at best, and has the potential to destroy your whole dish at worst.

Man, fuck ginger.

Watching that makes me glad I bailed on the show after S2. The writing has never held up to the story (imo in both the books and the series, but especially the series).

IMO, the show is awesome and I rarely really notice season-to-season quality variations once I'm hooked on the show and invested in the characters. I do think there are arcs I don't like as much as others (not a fan of the zombie shit, for example), but I just don't view shows with that critical an eye after they hook me. Exceptions to that would be like Arrested Development, when the show is fundamentally changed (GOAT sitcom in the first two seasons, still great in Season 3 and just not good in the most recent season).

Also, ginger is great. Good flavor for soups and some types of fish, especially.

It's especially good on pork, but I enjoy a nice fresh ginger beef, and use it in salads and soups sometimes. It's also great in curries.

Oh, and it makes into lots of my Asian-style sauces.
