Under appreciated fact of Top Gear (original trio) and The Grand Tour on Amazon. Their road trip specials allow me to see parts of the world I’d never get to go to and see in person

We can travel together, there is a splendor that only the eyes can see Mr. Gregolian. Let's make it a reality....

@HockeyBjj @Lead

I highly suggest watching this. This guy is (I guess) a professional writer, and he attempts to re-write the Long Night episode with greater internal logic, meaning, and payoff.

And, in my opinion, he makes for a MUCH better story/episode than we actually got.

Is it an attempt at a rewrite with the same ending so it stays in line with what’s going to come up? Or does it just go completely off to its own thing?

Yup. Same general plot, but with minor tweaks and one added death of a character who isn't really consequential to the rest of the story post-Night King.

I’ll give it a listen later. Grabbing some sushi before the new episode hits

Yes Mr. Lead.... Ingest the sweet sustenance deep inside of you. Savor the flavors in the salivating mouth well before swallowing eloquently...

Watching that makes me glad I bailed on the show after S2. The writing has never held up to the story (imo in both the books and the series, but especially the series).

It’s just sushi, man.

So does anyone here not like, or all out hate onions?

I've never met a person who loathes them before I started dating her, but my wife has a hate affair with onions and it really cramps my cooking.

Like, even a quarter onion I diced super small in a 9x13 lasagna (I typically use 2 full onions) she took one bite of and was instantly able to tell there were onions in it and then couldn't eat it.

I get not wanting them on a burger (although grilled or sautéed carmalized onions are delicious) but this is just nuts especially considering she loves Italian food and Mexican.
Onions are bullshit.

I understand the GOT complaints from the last episode. I just don't get why people seemed to only grasp the writing flaws now. Season 5 was a bag of shit, and some of these same people complaining like the show just now started to drop off a bit, were all "OMG, the zombies are so cool! That battle was so good! The Zombies!!! The Zombies!!!", without paying one bit of attention to the writing at all.

I'm glad the White Walkers were taken out in such a stupid way. They dragged the whole show down to some action-fantasy(with ZOMBIES! OMG!!!) wank. Fuck 'em. Those fans, the ones who called the first season "boring", got what they deserved.

For those who like the sushi, how much/little do you go on the wasabi?

I do a big awful face melter up-front, and then ease off to mild amounts where it's not the star of the bite, and mix it w/soy.

I haven't read the books, but the first five seasons (which had source material) were bigly compelling.

The downturn in the last three seasons has really affirmed one thing more than any other: that human arrogance and out-of-touch-ness has no - fucking - limits. I've said this before with regard to politics (morons thinking their first impressions and partisan reflexes should invalidate the opinions of professional scientific, economic, and policy experts), but not with regard to art.

The creators of the show are undeniably talented directors: they did a wildly successful job of converting good source material (which, from the little that I read of the first book, doesn't necessarily lend to the screen all that well) into on-screen product. But they were extremely faithful (in terms of books to tv standards) to the books to the point of having copied and pasted entire conversations.

Yet, somehow, even despite the considerable backlash for the writing quality of season 7, they still remained insistent that their skills are what made the series and that their writing was good enough and didn't bring on higher quality writers (like the fucking on in that YT video). But it's not. Their writing is fucking laughably bad.

The directing and acting and all the technical stuff is quite good. The story is so far out of scope with an HBO budget though. It was always very noticeable to me how small everything was. But that's not their fault, they worked with what they had quite well.

All sustenance shall compound inside of you in accordance with your tangible existence, molding you, sustaining you, perfecting your essence thus allowing the ingredients of your genetic predisposition take effect as you become something beyond what you are now....

Btw, I accidentally used "bigly" in a meeting with my boss a couple weeks ago. Who knew having a functional illiterate as leader of the world would have such shitly consequences.
