Samsung working on an insane headset that will it seems wash the bad taste of their decent but poorly supported past efforts. It's an XR headset with higher then 16 megapixel pass-through exceeds that of Vive elite. Will have a 3rd generation Qualcomm XR chip. The Qualcomm chip has new AI image processing for up ro 8k per eye resolution an object detection. Thing sounds like it will have advanced optics with at least 120 degree field of view.

Well I plunked down the 1100 dollars for HTC VIVE XR Elite I looked at a number of headsets including putting a deposit that I don't think I will keep on Primax Crystal. It's an amazing headset with depending on review it has between a 120 degree FOV to 140 degree FOV "Field of View" really impressive specs to but looks huge and bulky. The huge and bulky was the area I really do not want to deal with and I also wanted XR through the lens viewing in high res color. Facebook keeps falling on their face in regards to resolution and color passthrough. T he Elite has between 110 to 115 FOV and only limited resolution but pancake optics big plus but a front facing 16 megapixel camera and depth sensing camera for mapping the world. Got to talk to the CEO of HTC yesterday that was pretty wild and he liked my comments and the fact I already own the HTC Vive Pro 2. He graduated from MIT with two degrees and a masters degree he was hanging out with the other Rogan Seth Rogan at SXSW.

This looks really awesome, I've been loving my PSVR2 and this trailer already sold me on getting this day one. It will release on Meta and Steam as well.

Looks fantastic hopefully it makes use of eye tracking an foveated rendering. It's amazing how this wave of VR games are reviving the format.

Got my HTC Vive XR Elite quickly it takes time to setup.

HTC Vive XR Elite is amazing piece of hardware from a software standpoint never seen such an effective hand tracking setup by anything like it. It completely smokes the Quest 2 and my HP Reverb or HTC Vive Pro 2 have nothing comparable. The software side works as stated very good. Now some of the issues lack of OLED really shows on the darker regions of the display seems more washed out then it needs to be the field of view is considerably better then both the Vive Pro 2 and the HP reverb and the inside out tracking is fantastic. This being said some parts are fantastic the passthrough 16 megapixel camera is way way better then what is in the Quest 2 Pro though lack of depth mapping shows itself as it looks like your in front of a big TV set vs feeling completely emersed. I cannot wait to try out the passthrough region option for my simulator when done by allowing my steering wheel an controls into the game.

I watched Mandalorian from my HTC Vive XR Elite and my Samsung phone crazy clarity and huge screen. I just bought two external batteries one with 10,000 mAh and another with 20,000 mAh battery capacity. It allows you to get rid of the 5,000mAh battery from the back of your head. Will be nice to use it for over 3 hours. About the clarity it looks amazing but as I said before lack of no local dimming zone or OLED shows with limited black and darker color saturation. I think it still is a game changer but if Apple adds OLED from Sony it will likely be superior experience.
