International Virus outbreak in China (and elsewhere)

The flu killed between 60-80K people last year in the US alone. So that does provide perspective. However, from what we're hearing, the coronavirus may have a mortality rate of about 2-3% and is about four times more contagious than the flu.

So while it isn't time to panic, neither is this an issue that ought to be dismissed. It's for damn sure a valid worry and that is amplified by (again, valid) concerns that the Communist party might be lying and understating the problem.

Yeah... the Dr dying kind of shock that for me.

If there was one person China would not want dying from this, it would be him... for a myriad of reasons.

It’s basically made me question everything we’ve been told so far. Not shocked they’re saying that he’s really not dead yet.

Definitely time to take this more seriously , I tried to buy masks a week and a half ago but no luck , suggestions ?

going to stock up on rice and beans too, everyone should .

Home Depot and the N95 masks. Surgical masks won't cut it. If anyone asks any questions, tell them you've got a project coming up.

But that Mortality Rate of 2-3% is with the people getting 100% medical care on hospitals and in ICU, if I remember correctly.

So if this shit becomes as popular as the flu, there is no way all people could be attended at hospital, put in ICU....Thus that mortality rate might really be 10% + in real natural/natty conditions(No Hospital/ICU).

Wuhan is 4.9%
Hebei is 3.9%
Nation-wide 2.1%

A study found that out of 41 admitted hospital patients who had been identified as having laboratory-confirmed 2019-nCoV infection in China, 13 (32%) patients were admitted to an ICU and six (15%) died.

But everyone infected with the coronavirus stays in the hospital?Right?

Im just wondering whats the actual mortality rate, if somebody where to have it in their house and just toughen it out(Rest/Eat/etc) like with a person does with a typical flu....Those are real natty conditions, and I think the mortality rate would be much higher in those natty conditions.

I updated. No not everyone is in hospital. Most non-ICU cases are sent home where they get worse and die. The only info I've found on death rate for people in ICU is 15%. Still fucking high

There's a video on Twitter of pigs being culled in probably the worst way possible. I suggest you don't watch and if you do turn the sound off.

The put the pigs in a pit. Dump a bucket of gasoline which is already lit on them. The fire burns out and most of the pigs are still alive and then buried.

I sampled that squeal for my new Death Metal album

Sounds like a historical video back when swine flu was a thing?
