I read something similar when they were pushing that Corona had HIV-1 inserted into it so therefore it was man-made. Another non-Chinese virologist debunked it that the Indian guys did no real lab work and that HIV-1 insertions happen all of the time with many different viruses.

Yea, I saw that too and I knew that was debunked. I wasn't sure about this though, as it talks about engineers using pShuttle to alter the virus. It also claims bats are in hibernation in China right now and the market was not selling any bats.

she said it’s worse than the 1918 flu, as in the flu strain is deadlier percentage wise. She also said that China “has sacrificed a province” to try and save others. That’s some ominous wordage right there.

The flu killed between 60-80K people last year in the US alone. So that does provide perspective. However, from what we're hearing, the coronavirus may have a mortality rate of about 2-3% and is about four times more contagious than the flu.

So while it isn't time to panic, neither is this an issue that ought to be dismissed. It's for damn sure a valid worry and that is amplified by (again, valid) concerns that the Communist party might be lying and understating the problem.
