weird how many people are saying the fight was closer than judged. of course the english can be forgiven for it but Michael Buffer?

Naseem Hamed thinks Fury won it. Based on teh 70 percent I saw, Fury was working the whole time and doing what he could but he just did nothing from a ring generalship perspective. Part of what gets judged is how a fighter reacts to punches and although Fury looked like he caught usyk often, he had no effect on him. You ad to that how plain ungainly he looked at many points and also, the biggest factor was usyks aggression, he was right there on top of Fury no matter what he got hit with.

There were some close rounds in there but the media scoring (Bad Left Hook, New York Times, CBS Sports) matches the judges' official cards. As for Buffer's definition of what "close" means, who knows? You can have a fight that's 8-4 be considered close if there are some tight rounds even though one of the fighters won twice as many as their opponent.

i guess, truth is, most high profile fights have some sort of disagreement about the result. Sugar Ray Leonard said that exact same thing after, I think it was his Kevin Howard fight and he was right. It's never the fights no one cares about where people go on and on and on forever about the result.

I didn't see this one from any kind of a good angle. It was a pirate thing where part of the pic looks out of view. What I saw was a competitive fight but Fury to me, did not look as sharp as he did in the first one. At least in the first one, his hands looked sharp for the first half. This one, he looked like i do when i shadow box, just fat and out of shape and ashamed of myself.

hey, lets see usyk fight that chinese guy and give the brits a break or rather give us a break from the brits.

Yeah that's the general consensus. Fury did a bit better in the first fight (even though he had a knockdown scored against him). Usyk will be 38 next month. He'd be smart to retire while he's still on top. He just reportedly made over $100 million for this fight alone. That's generational wealth.

Brits collectively losing their shit over Usyk and I hope every time Frank Warren finds a Heavyweight, Usyk is there to be his ass
Brits seem to really have it in for him. Let's see some other stuff, the brits had a nice run, let's see the chinese guy, the first chinese heavyweight champ has a ring, let's give him a try.

I think if Parker beats Daniel, he'll get the next shot since he beat Zhang already
Yep, I think you're right about that. Parker probably would be next if he can win his next fight against Dubois (though I wouldn't favor him). Usyk vs Parker is a damn good fight.

is it because he's gypsy?

is it because he's gypsy?
Nah it's cuz he is a twat
I couldn't care about gypsy or whatever
Just can't support a 56lbs weight advantage
He is about as much of a Gypsy as me
Hardly like he travels about in a caravan selling pegs

The commentators had Fury winning. Like why? They're even worse than Rogan

To me, there seemed to be a feeling in the air that people wanted a trilogy fight. So I think lots of people wanted Fury to win because of that. Likely affected their judging.

I hope we get Usyk vs Parker cause I don't think Dubois has anything for Usyk.
Aside from Fury, Parker is the only HW that can come close to Usyk's speed. And he's smaller and more nimble than Fury. Less power though.
I'd like to see it
