Sensible but didn't see the actual card.

Fury clearly won 2 and 5. Maybe 1 and either 8 or 9 even.

Hopefully this type of thing gets more traction. Fights are scored BY ROUND. If someone clearly wins 7 while doing close to nothing and gets battered in 5 rounds they still win. For some reason that seems lost on general boxing public.
My point was that AI couldn't make a call on 2 of the 12 rounds, so how could this be a solution to human error in judging?
Personally, I don't believe a round can be 100% even. Someone had to do something more than the other guy. A judges job is solely to decide who won the round. He has no other job. A judge who can't decide who won the round isn't doing his job.

I see your point but feel like in general more even rounds would reduce variance and human error.

Two guys both land a couple jabs a couple decent shots...who really won the round.

Last night Fury won what 2 or 3 rounds clearly at most and lost 6 clearly. Pretty sure that just means he lost, but he could be given benefit of doubt round after round and get a draw. Feel like more even rounds would level out bad judging.

Yeah, people always get mad when I tell them I'm not THAT impressed by Usyk. It was the same with Lomachenko.
"I just don't see it."
"What? He's the greatest thing we've ever seen. It's a privilege to be in his presence and you're hater if you're not as enthusiastic about it as me."

That's usually how it goes... I'd love to see Usyk against an actual killer.
Being mad and saying its a shit point are not the same, its just a shit and baseless point. Usyk’s run at CW is better and his run at HW has been tremendous. Something most people, probably yourself included, said he couldnt pull off. Holyfield was awesome but youre just looking for a boogeyman that could defeat the fighter no one currently can so you can validate your bullshit opinion of “I just dont see it”. Take your blindfold off and youll see it like everyone else does.

Whats really amusing is you try to downplay Usyk as he is slaying the modern giants when your boy Holyfield went 1-2 against his version in Bowe.

Wasn’t Holyfield on steroids? He trained with Lee Haney and his head quadrupled in size

On February 28, 2007, Holyfield was anonymously linked to Applied Pharmacy Services, a pharmacy in Alabama that was under investigation for supplying athletes with illegal steroids and human growth hormone (HGH). Holyfield's name does not appear in the law enforcement documents reviewed. However, a patient by the name of "Evan Fields" caught investigators' attention. "Fields" shares the same birth date as Holyfield, October 19, 1962. The listed address for "Fields" was 794 Evander, Fairfield, Ga. 30213. Holyfield has a very similar address. When the phone number that, according to the documents, was associated with the "Fields" prescription, was dialed, Holyfield answered.
Holyfield was on more PEDs than any boxer in history

which also coincides with his ban for popping for steroids. If he wasn’t a cheat he probably wouldn’t have taken the time out whilst in his prime
Fury was ducking Usyk until turki made the fights unduckable. What Fury gained in bank balance he lost in the ability to spin his own narrative. Now he can't proclaim to be the greatest, even of his generation.

lol it’s crazy the stupidity of fans. Did he not generate the biggest payday? He fought him twice if he was ducking the fight wouldn’t happen.

What I forget is that boxing fans are like wwe fans they get so rilled up by pre fight hype and talk they take it as these guys aren’t playing characters.

Fury and aj made the heavyweight division exciting . The division was def for 20 years in the west . No one cared. I think fans will miss them once they are gone

He was ducking until the Saudis agreed to give him a 9 figure deal for two fights plus the BS fight against Ngannou.

Before that, he was making a bunch of outrageous demands and had deliberately blown up negotiations multiple times.

It was all a cynical ploy to age Usyk out of his athleticism.

He tried
Usyk kept pushing him off and avoiding the leaning.
Yes Usyk def trained to mitigate the leaning. It was only really at the end of the fight where Fury managed it with any consistency and it was too late by then

Yeah this is all very well documented.

When Fury offered the initial 70/30 split Usyk took the deal and called his bluff.

Then Fury demanded that the rematch if Usyk won would also be 70/30 which of course was unacceptable and a clear duck.

It was only until the saudis "make an offer he cant refuse" that he had to go in there.

The entire world saw Fury outright sabotage negotiations with Usyk and more than once. He was even lying about Team Usyk forcing a rematch clause acting like they didn't want one if I recall. Fury offered Usyk only 30% of the purse despite him holding 3 of the 4 belts. Usyk still said yes to it. Nobody does this. That meant Fury would've gotten 70% of the purse. Not to mention that Usyk actually agreed for it to be in Britain at Wembley Stadium which gave Fury home advantage. Fury blatantly ducked him for a while.

Like I said before, they could've already fought back in early 2022. Fury was made career high offers as early as late 2021.

Usyk is a special talent. People downplaying this era when it’s the best it’s been since the 90s are on drugs. Wlad was jab and grabbing 6-1 and 6-2 heavyweights.

Usyk isn’t small or a cruiserweight anymore.

6-3? 226?

Evander: 6-2 216
Tyson: 5-10 225
Tua: 220

The only super heavyweights were Lennox and bowe

And he got 180 million lol. Was that not good business? Usyk himself just got 70 mill

Just call it what it was. A duck. Usyk just made over $100 million for this rematch. He got 60% which works out to around $114 million and that's guaranteed money not even counting his PPV cut or gate revenue.

“Usyk and Fury are splitting a fight purse understood to be valued at a huge $189.66m. Due to his victory in the first bout, Usyk will be taking a larger portion of the pot, believed to be around 60%.”

Fury made $76 million in guaranteed money from the pot. When you factor in PPV buys, gate, and endorsements he also will be making over $100 million for the rematch.

PS. Around half of it, however, will have to go to the British government. Taxes & insurance must be paid on all overseas revenue generated.

How is that a duck when you fought that person twice ? Make it make sense….

Fury’s ducking had Usyk make more money then he ever would have
