Usman vs Belal

Dude wants old af Usman to fight for the title while there are tons of young guys in the division

I think usman would lose badly at this point.

He deserves the fight man. He got head kick ko’d and almost still won the next fight if not for all the fouling Edwards did.

He was dominating the division and he can still fight at a very high level.

That fight would be a top tier fight.

I don't think so it's an uncompetitive bout where usman gets mauled.

This is the kind of fight that would set back the division. Maybe if Usman beats JDM or something, but you have real contenders right now. Colby and Usman have to take them down before they get another title shot. WW division is backed up. We're lucky it only took 2 years to get Belal in there.

Shouldn't that be a foul or DQ? Not hating, just genuinely curious

No, because the spike rule requires "intent" iirc so and the move has to be offensively designed to intentionally spike the head as opposed to trying to get a takedown and shit happening.

edit - turns out upon double checking im just making shit up here. dont believe my lies.

Usman is borderline retired. A wasted of titleshot. Give to Shavkat already

i'm all for watching the delisional kamaru has-been get destroyed so why not?

Usman has lost 3 fights in a row & hasn't won since 2021. Not too much to ask for him to get a win first before another title shot, he should have enough left to beat someone like JDM possibly.

Being a great champ and the last minute headkick was ALREADY cashed in on. You don't just keep giving chances because of continuing low-level controversies. There's diminishing returns on this shit

I think it should, but it's not. The rule for pile driving someone is SUPER tight in it's definition, so that if the person being slammed has any rotational control, or holding onto a sub, or is being slammed on an arc, then it's all fine.

To me, this seems to give a lot of range for, "this is a dangerous impact, but there's a lot of ways it can just incidentally happen, so let's make those not a foul." But other fouls aren't  not fouls based on being incidental, they're fouls because of the dangerous impact. Someone can get WAY more fucked up from getting slammed on their head than a groin strike or eye poke.

@Trabaho is just super salty and spamming it everywhere as a means of cope and driving misinformation

Its a fair title defense tbh...Usman is a beast if not for his knees disappearing on him
