I think Potts has totally lost any will to fight, something broke in him when he fought in the UFC. Asker vs Van Zyl next for a big showdown!
 
Time again to deconstruct the UFC heavyweight roster and make recommendations on prospects with open contracts!

Currently the UFC has 34 heavyweight fighters once Cannonier makes 205 for his next fight. Makhov won't be fighting until after the 2016 Olympics, so we're at 33. There's also around 3 particular heavyweights who will probably be on the chopping block soon with a loss. So let's say 30 on the roster by end of year.

Who should replace them to get back up to 35?

As of now, the current fighters on my list who don't have exclusive agreements signed with other organizations are:

Denis Goltsov
Tom Aspinall
Curtis Blaydes
Sergey Pavlovich
Cody East
Zelimkhan Umiev
Dmitry Smolyakov
Jan Jorgensen
Brandon Griffin
Murad Izmailov
Francis Ngannou
Arjan Bhullar
Bartlomiej Bartnicki
Jani Istvan
Jarjis Danho
Junior Albini
Sergey Spivak

Now let's take away the fighters who still need more experience/wins before they should move into the UFC. We are left with:

Denis Goltsov
Cody East
Zelimkhan Umiev
Dmitry Smolyakov
Jarjis Danho

These would be the five I would pick currently. Although the last three are still fairly young in their careers. Ante Delija and Arsen Abdulkerimov are both question marks, as their contract status with M-1 is unknown, however they would replace Smolyakov and Danho should they be free agents.

In 2016 however we will likely see a flood of top heavyweights come of age to enter the UFC, such as Curtis Blaydes, Yosef Ali Mohammad, Tom Aspinall, and Sergei Pavlovich.

I like your list. For some reason I want to see Chaban Ka get a shot eventually, but I think East, Danho, and Goltsov are the best choices. (Even though Goltsov might eventually drop down.)
 
Denis Goltsov will defend his GEFC title in July, probably, July, 24. Opponent is TBA.
 
Looking forward to Stuart Austin VS Tom Aspinall on Bamma21 tonight.
I'm sure it will be streamed live on Lonsdale facebook page from around 18:30/19:00 BST if i remember i'll post up a link.

Oh for the love of... At least Aspinall is only 20, long time to keep building himself up. He learned a hard lesson not to leave yourself open. Griffin, Rama, Aspinall... these younger guys still have super potential, but I guess we can't assume they are UFC ready when there are still many more fundamental pieces of their games they need to improve upon.
 
Amir Aliakbari's MMA debut has been cancelled due to visa issues unfortunately. I hope he can get those issues resolved for the next fight. Unless he can get an MMA fight on a card in Thailand.
 
I think they are trying to reschedule Aliakbari's fight for september.

Some people may down-talk McSweeny, but he's a tough fighter for prospects to get past. I think Goltsov will pass the test though.
