Unsigned Heavyweights - Thread Three

I haven't watched Grabowski fight since his Bellator days - has he improved since then? From what I saw then, I'd be shocked if he ever developed into a top 15 fighter.

Hell yeah Grabowski! So when does his M-1 deal expire?

Grabowski is a good signing, dont think he's a top 10 guy or anything but another solid mid level HW they can throw on a card.
Can never have enough of those guys.

I feel like he'll take the mid-tier gatekeeper role, win a few, lose to only the higher up guys or talented prospects.

Paul L, can you school me on Augusto Sakai??

Good chin, good Muay Thai, and he's a fairly strong guy. He loves the clinch and throwing knees, and he's willing to take some big shots to land some big shots.

He hasn't really been challenged by a strong wrestler or BJJ guy yet, but he can shrug off your average takedown due to his natural strength. His cardio is somewhat serviceable, he can go 3 rounds, but gets gassy in 2.

Bellator just signed Titan HW champ Gormley

Kharitonov weighed in at 277 pounds for tomorrow's M-1.

Kharitonov looking muscular as hell.

Also Chase Gormley signed with Bellator.

My match making: Vinicius Spartan vs Alex Huddelston
Chase Gormley vs Augusto Sakai

Damn Sergei has some weight on him, hopefully it doesn't gas him out. Good signing by Bellator, Gormley is a good challenge for up and coming prospects. Like those matches as well, especially Spartan vs Huddleston.

As an odd note, prospect Francis Ngannou defeated William Baldutti by TKO in an event in late May. That fight went totally under the radar for me.

Paul L

Who do you like between Jorganson/Sopi tomorrow night? Should Sopi turn his lights out?

Sopi pulled out and was replaced by Josue Lugo. I'll take Jorgensen by TKO, but Lugo's ground game is brutal, and if he gets top control he could finish it.

Just watched the fight, makes me wonder how Lugo would have done with a few more weeks notice. And props for him fighting threw a broken hand

Vitaliy Minakov(14-0) - Adam Maciejewski(13-5) Fight Nights, Sochi, July, 31

Salimgirey Rasulov(13-6) - Michal Andryszak(14-5) planned for ACB 22 in september.

For Bellator to accept the risk (albeit small) that Vitaly could lose is very interesting. I know Adam, he will have a hard time but he's a tough kid, you never know...
