Amir Aliakbari fights Jamie Sloane at the Full Metcal Dojo show on june 4th in Thailand. I suppose this means he wont be finishing up that japan tournament, or was the next round of that in July?

What about Rosholt? Ik he isn't very entertaining but he had a 6-2 record in the UFC and is a great wrestler.

Another one for the GP? This is getting interesting

What's this GP all about? Haven't heard any news. A one night HW tournament?

What do you lads think of chase sherman, he just beat jack may not that means hes the next hw champ but its a recognisable name.

He's 10-1 now, which is quite impressive and May is a decent name....seems he won via freak injury, though?

He's 10-1 against really bad competition is my only issue. The win against May was due to injury, and May was outstriking him before it happened. Nicholson also torched him.

I'm holding on him for now. We'll see how he does against future opponents, hopefully some named ones in Titan.

Actually, I think a really good slug-fest would be him and Jeff Hughes. Titan should try and make that one happen.

Some misc news: Adam Wieczorek fights Zoumana Cisse on May 21st at PLMMA 67.

sergei kharitonov vs josh appelt added to bellator 154.....what a joke

royalty combat 8 "riot" amateur mma in Puerto Rico

Kudin & Mokhnatkin drew at the weekend. Pavlovich went to a decision for the first time (& won). Agaev had been stopped in 6 of his last 8 fights, so bit surprised Pavlovich didn't finish him.

Bonus: Alexander Sarnavskiy vs. Dmitry Bikrev

So after some digging, the fight between Ernest James and Chris Lewis in Bellator will be at SHW. It will be a pro debut for both fighters. Lewis and James apparently both cut to 265, which isn't shocking since they are both huge fighters. Lewis is actually at fairly low body fat as well, so he's one of the few unique guys who is 265+ and in shape.

James is a D-1 wrestler with huge potential, while Lewis is a D-1 Football player, high school wrestling champion, and muay thai fighter. James has only two amateur fights and is too raw to go pro in my opinion, he should have gone to 5-0 to 10-0 in amateur fights before making the jump. Lewis is 6-0 as an amateur MMA fighter and he is undefeated in Muay Thai as well in several fights.

At this point, I think Lewis will have the advantage due to experience. He is ready to go pro, while Ernest James should have waited longer on the amateur scene.

Also on a similar note, Brendan Battles will fight Mike Hansen in his first pro fight on May 14th at NEF 23. Battles is still super raw, and should be getting more experience in the amateurs in my opinion, as he is only 2-0 against lower level amateur fighters. Guys like Ernest James and Brendan Battles have massive potential, but I get the feeling rushing them will lead to losses on their records they could have otherwise avoided had they evolved more on the amateur circuit.
