Media UNPRECEDENTED moment for fighter rights: Mcgregor to give ownership stake to fighters; bashes the UFC for screwing him and fighters.

Yeah, you can. But do we as fans of the sport want to to see a billion dollar company putting out fighters/Uber eats drivers as their showcase of the highest level of combat sports? It's the definition of a bush league when pro-athletes have to work day jobs beyond their trained sport.
MMA is a bush league sport.

Conor got tens of millions from the UFC, just because he sold a little more pay-per-views does not mean he should receive special stake in the company. The UFC doesn't have partners, they have employees man.

Honestly? You can hold down a job and be an MMA fighter. You can't train for long periods of time anyways. It's tough but you can work a 9-5 and workout 6-10. It's brutal but doable. You will have no life outside of that.
Or train 7-10 take a monday off and on weekends do 2 x 2 hours.

Boxing. Like other UFC fighters who made more to box for one night, than they did in their UFC careers.
Thing is boxing is top heavy, MMA money is more spread out. In boxing a record like Josh Koschek wouldn't be a milionaire. Just for challenging for the title. In boxing the champs take it all. And boxing been around since forever, MMA is relatively new.

There's like 700 signed fighters. There are tons of cards. Not everyone who enters the UFC has to be set for life. Boby Green and Kevin Holland are setting themsleves up for life without being title contenders. Lewis made bank. Chael made a fortune. They aren't even champs. Fighting is a winner takes it all sport. You always should have a trade or education. Just making it to the UFC is never gonna be a lifetime of money.

The reality people tend to forget.

He made them a lot of money, and if he was one of their guys in the early days when the sport needed exposure, he certainly would have been able to negotiate a slice of the pie, but he came way too late, on the cusp of the corporate era, where his existence in the sport only accelerated it's slipping into circus.

that's like, socialism, here in murica.

amazing how common sense never catches on.

A business owner voluntarily giving more to their employees is socialism?

I didn’t realize Conor was going to be taxed into giving shares.

If anything it’s capitalism because it’s a business owner doing what he wants with his money.

You have to be one giant id1ot to think this guy gives a fuck about anyone but himself. Youre a fucking moron if you believe anything that comes out of this drug addicts mouth
