They should have real jobs lined up with insurance. A few minutes of entertainment every 6-12 months doesn't deserve a life of luxury.
Sadly I have to agree, even if it’s cruel.
Especially in America. The insurance system here is a goddamned pyramid scheme full of reptiles looking to drain your financial blood.
I really don’t know how high profile ex-UFC fighters end up in this situation. Maybe they’re used to being lowballed and they end up with low self worth, but look at Matt Serra.
He’s not sitting on his ass. He’s training fighters.
Shit being an ex-UFC champ has an enormous amount of financial opportunity available if you work the right angles.
