Okay, then do you stop fights every single time a fighter in danger commits a foul? Because that's fucking retarded logic.

The man was still in danger, but clearly conscious, he didn't get back to his feet with a 265 lb man on his back punching his head in merely by grabbing the fence, that's just silly.

My position is -- Allow Lewis to continue to land against a stunned opponent(who was clearly recovering), grant him a dominant position and deduct a point when it was clear he had recovered, which seemed imminent.

That sounds significantly superior to prematurely ending a fight because a foul was committed.
The ref didn’t have the same viewpoint as us. Think about that. Look I know you wanted someone to die but the card put on. Be happy man

Dude wasn't even hurt when his butt touches the ground. Watch him move his head right away completely aware of whats happening.

Joke stoppage.

Yeah I noticed that on the replay, he was completely lucid and he was tracking Beasts hand to try so he could dodge it (and he did). No wonder the HW division sucks when they keep ruining all of the fights

Who can take a full power shot from Lewis.
Not many.

Dude was cheating his way out of fight ending Ground N Pound --

So he took the L.

An you point out to where I stated it was an accident exactly , or are you just too retarded to argue without idiotic strawmans?
I did not claim you stated that, I was asking if you would, because your previous positions implied the fence-grabbing was somehow incidental to getting back to the feet.

Yeah I would have considered such an outcome acceptable. (Though Tex wouldn't have been rocked when the position was redone, which Lewis was owed).

But split-second decisions, and all.

However, some guilt must also fall on the fouling man. If Tex didn't want a situation like this to occur -- then he simply shouldn't have fouled in the first place. You're responsible for your own actions.

I don't dent ge committed a foul, I deny the stoppage was appropriate and believe the official should have been quicker to intervene, removing the fence grab and allowing the fight to continue, as opposed to making a boo boo and ending the fight prematurely as a result.

Not a particularly good job by Herzog, objectively.

No, you implied as much with those specific details.

Nobody said that, why ask the question?

Fence grabs bad....premature stoppages also bad.

You encouraged the salt
<analyzed>
Been awhile for the Forum to be as fun on a fight night card.
Who, lil' ol' innocent me??? <Neil01>

The ref had a better viewpoint than us, he was literally 2 feet away and seen him get up and spin.

What kind of retarded strawman is that?

"You didn't want a premature stoppage" = You wished for someone to die? Possibly the dumbest, laziest strawman I've ever come across on these forums.

If I read that stupidity first, I wouldn't have even replied....what a waste of time.

How many points do you take away from a guy who fouls to avoid being stopped?

Take a point away for it when the action stops, which is what you're supposed to do for a fence grab. You're not supposed to step in and wave things off completely lol.

LOL! I didn't even notice in real time that dude literally climbed the cage to get back up. Damn, Herzog just fucked that up all the way around.
Black Beast did concisely illustrate in the post fight presser that was a "ho ass move". Not exactly the terminology I would've used and I can't really blame the concussed fighter for doing whatever he could in his dazed state to try to stay in the fight but... I mean... indeed it was a ho ass move. I can't argue against it.

I'm not even sure why I'm suddenly posting more here TBH. It might not last, it might last indefinitely. At this point even *I* don't know. I'll just ride the wave as long as possible.

I hate when main events have some stupid controversial ending, because it takes so much away from what was overall a really fun event.
Controversy? What controversy? Anybody who says it was a horrible stoppage is wrong and a misinformation spreading conspiracy theorist who's probably a Qanon member too. ;)
