True, but also false. Of course priorities change and if you have been a fan for ~20 years, you are not the same person today, and as you get older you generally don’t have as much spare time to binge watch MMA.
Having said that, if you don’t think the quality as in exciting matchups and well marketed characters has gone down, you are incorrect. The overall level of skill has gone up as more train MMA, but the roster is bloated with DWCS type of fighters that will never make a name of themselves. When the roster grows, it becomes more difficult for fighters to stand out when there are so many cards and so many fighters.
So while it’s definitely true that “in my days” type of narrative is in play, the product itself has objectively become less exciting as the UFC creates fewer stars or “name” fighters but instead focus on quantity.
