What everyone is thinkin, if their honest.
Think this all hits a bit different if you've been watching these guys from the start of their careers. I still remember watching their first fight on a desktop PC at my mom's house via shitty stream. Fight fandom drives home the passage of time like nothing else for me. Makes a guy emotional.

Yall get back to me when Ilia is on his 35th fight and 17th year of fighting and tell me he's in his prime. You motherfuckers have lost your damn minds.

As the founder of the Temple Of Topuria I can assure you he will be  Dude's just built different.

Friend of mine is from Waianae.
He was super stoked Max was in the UFC and we bullied him horrendously for being Hawaiian

I remember when Dustin Ko'd Conor. He said it then. "I dont like this anymore, I dont have it in me to keep going"

And he still had amazing moments after that.

At some point even those reserves run out. All respect to this man.

He's been fighting since he was 17, he's 33 and he's 35 fights deep.
You're not wrong, but also I'm not detecting a drop-off in his performance tonight compared to his best performances.

Until I do detect that dreaded drop-off, he's still in his prime in my book.

Epic tribute to Poirier. 👍

Teddy Atlas being an MMA guy now is so random man.

I know he's gotten close with Dustin but there were a lot of significant boxing fights today.

Usyk Dubois, Bam Rodriguez, Pacman returning at 46. And Teddy was at UFC for Dustin's retirement fight.

His corner told him between round 4 and 5 that they thought he won round 4, and all he needed to win the next round was up his volume.

Watch when they announce the decision. When they said the first 49-46 card, Dustin shoots a look at his cornermen like "wtf, you guys told me I could win a decision". He thought he was in the fight because his corner told him he was. He knew he didnt win 4 rounds though, so when they said 49-46 he knew it wasn't for him.
Porier fans explaining the exact reason he just got his ass kicked

And you're dead wrong, but you're entitled to being wrong.

You understand he was fighting a well past prime Poirier with both feet out the door, right?

And you think he was thinking after round 5 yeah I beat max up this round AFTER he didn't get close to Max's volume? And was a speed bag for 10s holding on he's thinking Yes I won 3-2 that's my round. You're being ridiculous.
