I get it why Dricus wants that fight so bad

I think Ank does even better next time.
not inherently. wrestling is merely a change of position. you can still continue to fight with wrestling transitions included. was khabib anti-fighting? he beat most guys' faces unrecognizable. It should, because wrestling is anti-fighting.
score with what? say it with me now.... STRIKESThe benefit of wrestling is the dominant position for which to score.
no. it's ineffective grappling from both sides and cancels itself out. defending a takedown isn't a grappling technique that affects the fighter you're facing, unless you can use your sprawl to land strikes or get a sub.If you don't execute, the effective grappling reverts to the bloke who is trying to keep the fight standing.
i'm all for punishing stalling, but pereira should have had 2 or 3 points taken for timidity, in that case, as he ran away for 4 rounds doing nothing. It should actively be scored against the fighter ruining the spectacle.
probably the worst performance from a champ since izzy vs. strickland.I swear all he did was tap Ank's leg, even his calf kicks looked weak and lethargic. Alex was so gun-shy it was like he had a broken hand or something.
In the last round he should have let his hands go but nope. Just backed up and threw the leg taps again ha ha.
idk if you champ and you constantly backing down back peddaling and not ever getting into exchanges and other guy looses patience and want to take you down or hold you so he can strike at least that guy should get benefit of doubtPretty much the way I saw it. Maybe the judges were just awed by Ank not being demolished like all the other challengers. If an all-time great team looks sluggish and only wins by a point it's still a win. Ank getting the nod after the way the 5th went down just didn't sit well with me. I had it 2 rounds apiece like most people but how did Ank win the 5th???
Lol you and Sal freaking D'Amato; two peas...
Not to mention Paotan's pushing 40 now. His reflexes won't be getting any faster...Possible but Alex showed he could take Ank's best shots and he defended literally every TD. Ank could improve but Alex has a good chance of beating him. Him and his team kept talking about Aspinall and there really ain't any other LHW fights for him if he beat Ank so this is better for him. Tom would have done some bad things that would have hurt his brand.

oh you were trolling, my bad. the 2014 white belt should have given it away.Khabib beat them by getting the dominant position for which to land damage. Effective grappling. Ank did the opposite of that, ruins the spectacle should be punished for the homosexual adjacent behavior it is, leave it to the ancient greeks.
There’s more to a fight than octagon control… Ank got outstruck despite advancing more. That’s not what I’d call being in control of a fight. No he's right. At no point other than the first round was Alex in control of that fight
It was a boring fight .....but the rules don't say that in the event of a boring decision the champ retains.
Alex didn't get his head kicked in but he did get out worked and ank was the one in control for most of the time.
This fight was not close at all.
I just don't feel like Ank did enough to take the fight in the 5th either. For one thing he started it out backing up himself. I can;t think of a single significant strike he landed in the 5th either. But oh well, there will be a rematch that'll settle things one way or the other.idk if you champ and you constantly backing down back peddaling and not ever getting into exchanges and other guy looses patience and want to take you down or hold you so he can strike at least that guy should get benefit of doubt

if you think having a stastical lead because you landed more taps to the leg than they did punches to the face is "outstriking" someone, then idk what to tell you. There’s more to a fight than octagon control… Ank got outstruck despite advancing more. That’s not what I’d call being in control of a fight.
