UFC 234 Whittaker vs Gastelum

Excluding the main and co-main, 234 is a pretty shit card for a numbered one.

Still, I might go with Whittaker KO/TKO later. Gastelum has a titanium chin, but I’m not sure his cardio holds up for 5-rounds against the best middleweight on the planet.

I guess I’ll parlay Adesanya and Whittaker with some other guys after tape.

One of the favs that I'm not betting is Kang. I'm not sure what I'm doing with that one, but I can see Ishi giving him a hard time. Kang is an underachiever.

yeah i think half a unit on ishi isn't the worst idea at these prices.

Yahya is a crazy beast when he gets his opponents down for a Sub.

Because he koed a Bisping and won a split against Jacare ?

Gastelum will TKO Whittaker. There is no way around it.
Gastelum couldn't even KO a badly gassed out Jacare and was getting outstruck by Weidman after the first round while Whittaker just went 10 rounds with Romero and wasn't finished.

There's definitely a way around it.

This card is insanely difficult for betting.

Be disciplined. Dont force it.

I'm putting a bit on Adesanya by KO/TKO @1.8. Don't know how heavy to go, but that looks like some value to me. I'm guessing the reason it's not lower, despite Adesanya being a KO specialist, is that Silva lasted three rounds with Cormier on short notice. But in that fight Cormier didn't want to risk trading with Silva, and almost the entire fight was Cormier grinding Silva on the ground. On the feet for three rounds, It seems to me, Adesanya should have a very good chance of finishing Silva. What do you guys think?

Have to agree with you on this one. I'll stab ko line with ya. Moneyline is fucking bananas.

personally i think silva's chin looked fine against brunson, i think the value is on israel dec at +190.

that being said i'm just waiting to close my yan + adesanya parlay.

Yeah I agree, but he is two years older now, and I'm expecting Israel to turn up the volume a bit compared to Brunson. But you might be right!

Man, I hate the UFC's new website. When you click on UFC 234 and "how to watch", it only shows the main card is at 10 PM on PPV. Does anyone have the breakdown of the prelims and where to watch?

Use uk.ufc.com, still got the old layout

edit. looks like they don't have the prelim time updated there either

Already have small bets on both Silva and Adesanya (freerolled) and Gastelum via KO/TKO paired with Whittaker ML.

I've been on Yahya a lot lately, but I think this may look like Yahya vs. Soto or Yahya vs. Niinimaki. Yahya can really slow down when dealing with strong wrestlers. On top of that, this will be his first trip to Australia. I haven't made a play, but I think I'm slightly favoring Simon here.

I usually go to mmajunkie/upcoming events for that

I usually take a gander at the event on fightpass or the ufc app. Looks like we got fightpass prelims, prelims on big ESPN and of course the main card on PPV.

Yahya on Bet365 for inside the distance opened at +190, its a close fight but I definitely see some value there with his submission skills and experience advantage as well
