True Detective was solid as well

But they do seem to have 3 misses for every hit nowadays

Wasn’t interested in season 2 of the deuce, season 3 of TD didn’t pull me in, big Little Lies season 1 was cracking but really don’t remember much of season 2

yeah that was pretty weak. came for the fantastic body on elena from the first episode but god knows why i stayed to the end. and regarding the reveal (not going to spoil anything, but just putting it in spoilers to be safe):

Raised By Wolves and Watchmen were both fantastic imo, but they got a lot of garbage too.

HBO’s formula lately has been:
1. Find a good story
2. Add filler and convolute it to make it last 10x longer than it should reasonably take.

I’ve gone right off hbo as well, it was my favourite for years. Couldn’t get on with west world, I was so excited about watchmen, but fell out with it a few episodes.

Knowing you enjoyed Mr Inbetween, give Succession a go, it's a proper black comedy with some great dialogue and acting.

I started watching succession of late. Im enjoying it. Tapped out of perry Mason half way thru the season and stopped westworld season 3 after a couple of episodes.

I loved the deuce but plenty of people weren't big into it. One of francos best performances imo playing the twins completely different. Nothing will beat his stoner persona in pineapple express but this was up there for me.

Great in Spring Breakers, Why Him? and 11.22.63 he had me in tear at the end he was so good.

Why him wasn't bad and honestly in 11.22.63 he ruined it for me. Something about his performance didn't work for me and I actually didn't finish it all so can't comment on the end.

If you read the book and it didn't match up I can be on board with that. Another King adaptation Dead Zone Christoper Walken was entirely miscast from the book, I really didn't like it.

Why Him? Was set in San Jose where I live so I was bound to like it. I was watching them on a plane to San Jose on a plane from San Jose. But I do really like Franco.

I haven't seen that one. I do find him quite adaptable, and I think he was probably playing himself in Pineapple Express.

Oh, fuck me. I was positively GAGGING for this. I'm really disappointed. HBO to me as was once was my favourite channel has been a bit of a let down lately and I really wanted to see how Joss got on with more adult TV being I'm a Whedon geek. What a damned shame. It was Josss all over being the strong empowered woman thing, and I was excited to see Ben Chaplin and Nick Frost in the Whedonverse.

And we don't really know, if he still has to suffer from cancel people, or was there a legit reason for him to be pushed out of the project.

Most people put season 2 as the best, I believe.
