International Tucker Carlson in Russia to interview Vladimir Putin UPDATE - Also Dugin

Lazy question- has the interview happened yet? Is it available anywhere to see for my self?
it's not out yet, it will be on tonight at 18:00 America time. it will be surely posted in here. i most likely won't be the one to do it, since it's night-time here when it drops, but i'll put it in the original post tomorrow.

Tucker by his on admission is not a journalist though.

Rachel Maddow has used the same legal defense. Does that mean all her’s and basically all MSNBC’s takes are now false, as she is now basically one of the bosses there?

If so, that is a relief, yea her takes on 1/6 being an insurrection are clearly fake news, and Trump is amazing

Yea if you use that as a defense I think it should pretty well disqualify you in the public eye as being an actual journalist. "Left" or "right" not a journalist and shouldn't be taken seriously.

USA has invaded how many sovereign nations now? And the countries they invaded are halfway across the world. USA is bombing Syria right now, which is a sovereign nation. I suppose you have nothing to say about that though.

Meanwhile Putin is defending his backyard. He realizes how corrupt Ukraine is, and he has seen the west take advantage of that for the last ten years, as well as threaten nato expansion into the region. It's the west meddling that has caused all of this. Open your eyes fool.

Russia and Ukraine had a peace deal worked out just a short time into the conflict. Boris Johnson flew into Kiev and told Ukraine/zelensky not to make a peace deal and to keep fighting, promising billions of dollars and weaponry to do so.

The west is responsible for this entire war going back to 2014. They couldn't keep their hands out of the cookie jar. Now the poor ukranian people as well as Russian people are suffering the effects of a long drawn out war, all because of the west.

Russia cannot just leave and have peace now. Are you crazy?

Russia could leave Ukraine tomorrow and the war would be over. The blood is all on their hands. Period.

I’m done talking about it because there are other threads for that argument. This is about Tucker’s interview and I won’t derail the thread.

Considering she expanded her role behind the scenes at MSNBC/nbc news and is basically a studio boss, should all MsNBC and NBC also be considered fake news then?

If she is happy to peddle fake news as a host, wouldn’t she also a producer?

Plus she comes on morning Joe and most of their other shows as well

As long as your admitting that Tucker is not a journalist and shouldnt be taken seriously. Cable "news" has long been a joke. Almost all of the prime time spots seem to be dominated be "political commentary". I don't watch Cable news at all except if there is a big breaking story.

You should watch this video. It's by a lefty but it isn't that political, it's more historical. I can't speak to it's accuracy but it's entertaining as hell.

I mean sure it's obviously super political but not in a left vs right kind of way in America. It's the fourth and final video in a series about the war in Ukraine (I enjoyed the entire series).

Well, at the level they are at, they likely dont do any real journalism themselves. They likely have a team of people that do that for them. They are just reviewing and providing a personality for it. Its why for TV now, you dont have to be a real journalist if you have a team of journalists working for you imo.

Sure. But then we are also in agreement that Maddow being brought in to host all the 1/6 committee hearings, interview all the members, some witnesses, etc, is likely just propaganda for a narrative.

But if you look at my example above, when Maddow interviews someone like Liz Cheney, it is not journalist. It is propaganda, since she has admitted she is not a journalist, right?

I'm definitely not supporting that heavily biased chick by any means. I do not think she is interested in the truth. Only something to support her side. That's it. Not real journalist imo.

True enough. As long as we all agree MSNBC as a whole, since maddow is a guest at times on almost all their shows, as well as helps produce, AND Tucker Carlson Network are not actual news. Fair enough. I have already said I don't expect much new from this interview.

WR leftists in 2023: "Tucker isn't gonna be relevant anymore. Now he's gonna be just like Bill O'Reilly after getting fired from Fox LOL!"

We can only hope this turns into a Jim Rome/Jim Everett situation

TBH... I dont consider any of the commentary of the news to be the "news". Its why I dont watch any of it. It is someones take on the news. If we want news, we need to go back to having local news then world news then thats it. Just tell us what happened. But its too late now and commentary has taken over as the popular choice over actually just hearing what happened during the course of a day and trying to form ones own opinion.

I don't know why you keep trying to throw Maddow at me when I already have told you what I think of her.

Arrested? Tucker? For what?
For political dissent, you silly goose. I mean we all knew the kind of people we're dealing with here, didn't we? Emotionally manipulating fragile people into supporting the crushing of any opposition to power by any means necessary isn’t exactly a fresh tactic.

I mean if it was in doubt before, that should have been cleared up watching them devolve into absolute psychosis during covid shutdowns when they were arresting people for going to the beach, saying you shouldn't be allowed to have a job or buy groceries, and writing "dancing on the graves of the unvaccinated may be ghoulish, but it's necessary" in major publications.

The idea that he should be arrested strikes me as psychotic.
still got not response to my question regarding what should he be arrested for.
