You're really reaching here. So is the narrative going to go from you won't miss your money to corporations are bad for raising prices because of huge additional costs they have to take on for something that pretty much only idiots want.

Fact is everyone is going to raise their prices. But I can tell you one practical thing this company is doing. All other companies will bury the additional cost increase in the pricing for which you will have no insight to. And once these tariffs are gone, the prices will not change. This company put their money where their mouth is. With this additional line item they put themselves in a position to have to take it away and reduce their prices once the tariffs are gone. No reason for other companies to do this since we have zero insight into their price changes. You want to talk about margins, take a look at them (where available) after the tariffs and companies have not reduced their prices.

Maybe I am biased because I really like Kamala and thought she ran a good campaign but I don't know that running a primary would have changed who the nom was. If you look at polling for 28 Kamala is like well ahead of anyone else, Gavin is usually second and I feel like Trump would have beaten him way worse. Unless you meant Democrat voters are obsessed with race and identity politics which I think we can be but also don't know that it's a bad thing. Point being considering the hole Biden was in by the time Kamala took over the fact that she managed to lose by like 1.5 nationally is about the best we could have hoped for. Doing a primary after the 22 midterms probably would have been the move.

You're not an independent and the democrats didn't have a primary because they switched candidates after the primary race would normally be nearing its end if not already over and there was no time for it. There wasn't even enough time for them to properly campaign for the national election.

Biden certainly played his role in fucking over the democrats. The last time Kamala participated in a primary she performed incredibly poorly. One of the worst of like a dozen candidates. But if a non-Trump, competent, candidate was the Republican nominee, they'd likely struggle to get enough support from their radicalized voter base to beat even a weak candidate like Harris. Hence why Trump won the nomination without even attending any of the debates. This is a bigger problem imo.

I already pay more for local products, organic products, grass fed beef etc by choice, I have no problem paying more for products that support local jobs. They are usually better quality than imported items anyway.

Kamala was infinity better than Trump. She is more competent. And even if you thought she wasn't qualified, it's clear that she would have surrounded herself with capable advisors and she would have listened to them.
