Sincerely,

(squiggly lines that don't say who it's from) <puh-lease75>

Yeah, I think it's fake. Any Dems intern could type up this shit.

Hell...any Sherdogger here can type up this shit.

So yeah. I definitely believe this is fake-as-fuck.

And to answer your question, LB, it's a moot point 'cause it's not real.

There is no "IF" scenario for me.

I just view this as just another of a long line of anti-trump bullshit.
What would make you think this is real and not fake?

Yes, yes I know...same m.o.

Imagine coming into a thread, making a really stupid observation, getting kicked in the dick because your observation wasn't even true, and then acting like you came across as even reasonably intelligent in the exchange.

Great job, great effort.

When Obama left, it appeared to be one of those better times. Yet it led to chaos and conflict regardless.

The Kurds would've expected air support from the Americans against Turkey. But lets be realistic here. Turkey is a NATO ally. Are the Americans truly going to fight against a country that they've forged a military pact with? Is it preferable to risk one of those 100 troops being a casualty of Turkish aggression, or rather just move them away from the chessboard?

I'm sure that this is difficult for many Americans to fathom, due to media portrayals, but it is Turkey that is in fact, America's official ally, whereas the Kurds have largely been officially denounced as terrorists (which, to be fair, they have been, with suicide bombings targeting civilians, etc.). To support the Kurds against Turks would in fact be America going against its "promises", its official policy, and not vice versa. And we are talking about long-term policy, not just short-term "convenient allies" in a fight against a bigger villain (ISIS).

Now I can personally fully agree that Turkey is a villain here, but I've been saying that for a very long time. Which is why I believe they should not belong in NATO. But they do. And since people seem to be very fond of NATO (even if Trump himself may not have been), they have to live with those loyalties, above whatever loyalties are only forged out of circumstances (such as those with the Kurds).
A Kurdish autonomous region abutting Syria, Turkey, Iraq, and Iran, that was indebted to us,
would have been a big plus for our national security interests. Turkey is a member of NATO but they have aligned with Russia and have drifted toward Dictatorship and Sharia law over the last 15-20 years. This was Trump's butt fumble in regards to foreign relations. I'd say diplomacy but we know that is non existent in this administration.

...civil war coming. About dang time...

I'm curious, what is it that you like about the idea of a civil war? Americans killing Americans obviously appeals to something inside you. Maybe it's the notion that people who don't like Trump would be killed. Would you kill liberals yourself, or just cheer while others do? How would such a war start, in your opinion? Who would start killing who first?

Pathetic. <{nope}>

What’s pathetic??? The fact that I’m not concerned with the same things as you??? That I don’t care about a group of people on the other side of the world that have absolutely no impact on me or my life???

if you care about the Kurds so much, do something to help them, until then, you’re just crying on a karate forum which isn’t helping anything.

Pence, Pompeo announce Turkey-Syria cease-fire after tense talks with 'tough guy' Erdogan

Vice President Mike Pence and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo announced Thursday that they have reached a cease-fire agreement between Turkey and Kurds, following a meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Ankara.

The agreement comes hours after a letter emerged in which President Trump warned Erdogan against being a "fool" and "tough guy" regarding an operation in northeastern Syria.

>>> "a letter emerged". And this is proven to be from Trump, right? <YeahOKJen>

I don’t really care about the Kurds or anybody in the Middle East. I’m totally cool with letting the Middle East bang amongst themselves. We haven’t stopped anything in the long run so why give a fuck?

Because we've asked the Kurds to fight with us and have a moral obligation to not leave them to die.

We did something similar in the 80’s when we armed and trained the Mujahideen and Northern Alliance to fight the Soviets in Afghanistan. When the Soviets left so did the US and allowed the Taliban to take control. You should know how that all played out.

So when you say you don’t care about the Kurds just remember what history has taught us about betraying our allies.
