Asked the Kurds to fight ISIS?

You still trying to tell that lie, or we admitting we were supporting the Kurds to overthrow a legally recognized leader of a country?

Never go full Zinn.

Yes, the Kurds fought against a common enemy of the United States in ISIS. And yes, the Kurds fought against a worthless dictator in Assad. A man who has ruined his country and gassed his own people.

But hey, he was elected, so he gets a pass.

Let's keep this thread about Trump's inviting the involvement of foreign governments in his election campaign.
The upcoming events are Sondland's testimony.
Recent events were the arrest of David Correia in relation to campaign finance violations.
Another day and another client of Rudy got arrested.
We need a sign that has the days listed since a client of Rudy’s has been arrested. Never takes long too get back to zero days.

Any Rudy updates?
Rudy?
Rudy?
Probably getting ready for a long vacation in a striped suit.

Volker, Sondland, and even Perry are setting Rudy up to be the fall guy.

"Secretary Perry, Ambassador Volker, and I were disappointed by our May 23, 2019 White House debriefing. We strongly believed that a call and White House meeting between Presidents Trump and Zelensky was important and that these should be scheduled promptly and without any pre-conditions. We were also disappointed by the President's direction that we involve Mr. Giuliani," Sondland says in his opening statement.

"Please know that I would not have recommended that Mr. Giuliani or any private citizen be involved in these foreign policy matters. However, given the President's explicit direction, as well as the importance we attached to arranging a White House meeting between Presidents Trump and Zelensky, we agreed to do as President Trump directed," Sondland continues.

Sondland also says that he did not know about Giuliani's desire for Ukraine to investigate Hunter Biden and Burisma until recently.

Sondland says that he feels maligned by former Russia adviser Fiona Hill and former National Security Adviser John Bolton, saying: "If Ambassador Bolton, Dr. Hill, or others harbored any misgivings about the propriety of what we were doing, they never shared those misgivings with me, then or later."

However, a source familiar tells CBS News that Hill raised concerns to Sondland "to his face."

Wait, just to be clear. Trumps longtime personal attorney is currently in jail and the personal attorney he hired to replace Cohen (Guliani) is under investigation and has had 4 of his henchman arrested in the last week.

Trump din do nuffin. Haha

Anyone who still tries to argue Trump is so innocent seriously needs to examine their life.

Im convinced though 90% of the extremely low iq Trumpers in here are kids in their 20’s with no real knowledge of any of the facts. Still, examine yourselves

Trump draining that swamp one bad guy at a time! No way Trump stands for schemes to funnel money to him nor groups trying to buy influence!!!

Campaign promise fulfilled - CHECK

Oh and no collusion between Trump and Rudy on this if you were wondering. No collusion, no obstruction. Not sure if Rudy was even my lawyer. I mean he does some things for me but is basically an errand boy!

"President's lawyer has claimed he was not aware of illegal campaign donations"

...
A fourth man has been arrested by the FBI in connection to a campaign finance scheme involving two known associates of Rudy Giuliani, Donald Trump's personal lawyer.

David Correia, a Florida businessman, was arrested on Wednesday at John F Kennedy International Airport in New York, ...

... Mr Giuliani is the president's personal lawyer, ...He has said he had no knowledge of illegal donations.

Mr Correia has been accused of conspiring with other defendants — Mr Giuliani's associates Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman — to donate money to make political donations as they attempted to set up recreational marijuana businesses in the US.

...Court documents allege that a scheme to funnel money to Republican former congressman Pete Sessions, state Republicans and a political action committee supporting Mr Trump began in 2018, when Mr Parnas and Mr Fruman began making “substantial contributions” with the aim of “enhancing their influence in political circles and gaining access to politicians”.

They're not stupid, nor are they children, that isn't fair.
They're just dedicated and don't believe the allegations.

I personally think he's dirty af

We can disagree on that. I’ve never met someone I consider intelligent to also believe Trump din do nuffin. People who purposely ignore facts are generally low iq individuals.
Let’s be honest. The only reason they don’t believe the allegations is because Dem

A legally inherited dictatorship whose leader launches chemical attacks on his own people?

Idk, there are many who don't trust sources of information other than those that cater to bias.

It doesn't take much to see that there actually is a problem with journalism lately.
As much as I hate to say it, trump put "fake news" out there and the liberal press proved him right.

I don’t really care about the Kurds or anybody in the Middle East. I’m totally cool with letting the Middle East bang amongst themselves. We haven’t stopped anything in the long run so why give a fuck?
If you don't care, why are you adding that to the discussion?

Not adding to so much as shitting on

I disagree. There is no fake news really. There are stories that they may get wrong or not 100% but that’s journalism. Trumps “fake news” bit just gives the right carte blanche to call everything they don’t like, fake news and now anything the news puts out is fake because a certain network put it out. Fake news is a fake term. It’s lazy and you really only see Trumpers using the term

It's overused, but I find sources bumbling their way into it too often.
Just recently a source (CNN?) did a story on Syria and used doctored footage from a shooting range.
That's lazy journalism.
And you can blame the graphics people, but it shouldn't have gotten to publication.

The time is never going to be "right" for a US pullout (see Obama and Iraq). There's always going to be some battle left to fight. That's what the "war machine" relies upon, endless conflict.

Much like with Vietnam, sometimes you just have to count your chickens. There's nothing to gain here for the United States.
There is never a "right" time but there are absolutely better and worse times. My understanding is our involvement there was quite minimal and our involvement was mostly related to training, arming, strategy, etc.. I think Trump only moved less than 100 troops.

This is not related to your post but Trump apparently sent around 2,000 troops to Saudi Arabia, squashing the idea that this is about lowering our military involvement in the world.
