If you want a serious answer, I’d be fine with scotus overturning this or punting to congress. Also fine with upholding it. The state had its due process with a trial and judge’s ruling on Trump’s participation in an insurrection. By the letter of the constitution and based on state law, it seems like the right decision. They have to rule on what is put in front of them. And states run their own elections.

My main concern is, I’m not sure we should have states deciding on their own what that insurrection thingy actually looks like. There should probably be some standard for everyone to follow. Just like there’s a standard for other disqualifying criteria like citizenship or age or being impeached.
