Elections Trump Indicted On 91 Counts

democrats: "we'll go beyond words and just jail our opponent for the automatic win. and if they say anything like being able to run from jail we'll make fun of them for being unreasonable".

u pussies couldn't even win normally, you sabotaged his car so he couldn't even get to the match.
I think objective reality has been very clear on this issue..ie) Trump is not going to be eligible to win, pick another guy, but Y'all insist on backing a dead horse. So as I said a couple months ago....who's your #2 pick, because that's going to be your only shot. 😂

I think that eventually, one way or another, he will pay.

If there's any justice he'll be in prison with George Santos and Rudy Giuliani before the year is out, and all his assets and businesses will have been stripped from him.
I do to think he will end up paying eventually but he will use every tatic he has to avoid doing so. He has pretty much done that his entire career and fingers crossed.

I'm glad they're hopping right to it and hearing arguments on the 8th. If they rule he's not allowed on the ballot I may win 2 WR bets in one stroke.

They're going to do the coward thing and defer to the States. They wont dismantle democracy, but they wont enforce it either.

One of the talking points was that they would refuse to hear it and effectively leave it to the states before this announcement but now this has me thinking they will just make the decision on yes or no. Overall I'm pretty 50/50 on what will happen, I would say water pistol to head type situation that do let him be on the ballot etc due to the conservative majoirty on the court and everbody's favourite judge Clarence.

I honestly think a decision for CO here would result in some pretty chaotic elections going forward.

I think they’ll shoot it down, though I’m not sure what the constitutional argument will be. If it’s “the potus isn’t an officer” or something like that, then I guess another form of chaos emerges.

If they were going to do that they could have just elected not to hear the case.

I do think they will punt it though, but to congress.

However, my opinion is not based on my view of the law, but rather my view of a compromised Supreme Court.

It would absolutely blow my mind if they get this right.

Quick question if it does get punted to congress what do you think congress would do ?

fuck the voters. we must protect democracy by leaving it in the hands of biased secretarys of state whose decision making includes watching a few youtube clips and reading a fake j6 commission report.

Stall until after the election. Bunch of useless cunts in the House. Honestly, they would have a committee to determine if they should have a committee, and then after that pretzel is untangled, they are going to need a holiday.... serious answer, no resolution prior to election, which would be an absolute travesty.

It is an interesting question, if it were just an academic exercise, since the Amendment would seem to require a 2/3 majority to remove the exemption, and I absolutely do not see that happening.

That being the case, you would have the status quo for 2024... individual state decisions standing, and Trump being excluded in CO and ME, but eligible everywhere else. But, I'm not a lawyer, and maybe I'm misinterpreting the procedures.

"orange man said a few means words and talked shit about our beloved hillary so we went nuclear, threw him in jail in self defense, and burned down the entire system so he can never run again. and we threw each state into permanent chaos by allowing any biased rando hack secretary of state decide who the people can and can't vote for. cause, ya know...state's rights".
