If you understand why it was a story on the first day, do you understand why it's a story on the second day when the way he handles it implicates him in violating federal campaign laws?

Yes, but it seems like gotcha non-sense to be honest. Kind of like the 1 CEO who went to jail over the GFC. I have no doubt that he was guilty, but I hardly find it to be justice, or upholding the rule of law.

lol well, I've got bad news for you: you're not the person who judges which legal violations are important and which aren't, especially since Trump has violated multiple campaign laws already.

I know, it's always hard to learn certain truths about yourself, but I know you'll be brave.

LOL, what do you think someone is going to charge Trump?

You think Clinton gets to walk for the E-mails, but Trump gets charged over this?

LOL, the rule of law is dead in this nation. Laws don't apply to platinum citizens, and Trump is a platinum citizen, his bank account gives him that status.

So you're angry at the breakdown of law because of the results of people looking into Hillary's email illegality... so you don't even want other people's illegalities looked into?

So you're not just throwing the baby out, you've heaved the tub out the window as well and are going to start hanging out in gay bars because they can't have babies?

I feel like this should warrant it's own thread. Dubya may not be the most liked individual ever but his words still carry some weight with the base. That statement is very emblematic and will be even more so after Trump goes back to the hole he crawled out of and leaves the GOP scrambling for whatever's left of their dignity.

Not at all. I told you that I agreed, that it appears he broke the law. I'm not saying he shouldn't be.

I am saying that whether you are a banker, war criminal, or guilty of storing classified info in a unsecure location, that platinum citizens don't go to jail anymore.

Unlike Bif's sports almanac, index funds are something that exist for literally everyone who has a bit of money to put away.

Some people like to invest in things they are passionate about man. Trump has had his share of lucrative ventures, and he's had duds. What makes him a great businessman is the fact he was always able to bounce back. Even HuffPo wrote a pro-trump piece about it. The man holds the guinness book world record for biggest financial turnaround iirc.

And just for shits and giggles, look up those two authors, and their backgrounds.

Neither one of them has ever started a business, taken a risk or created jobs. Classic examples of non-achievers trying to make a name off of Trump while he's in the headlines.

So let's say you need to buy one of two vehicles. One vehicle runs, but has bad gas mileage, the other has no engine. I would take the car that has bad gas mileage based on the fact the other has no engine. When you need to make a choice why the fuck wouldn't you look at both of them together?

Hillary is a criminal. Trump is a business man with a vision for America. Hillary cares only for what the polls tell her to care for in order to get elected.
Simpleton.

who da fuck cares if his ex-model wife read something that was plagiarized by some speech writer no one's ever heard of?

hahahahaha that's reaching

The reality is that when the media is against you there is literally nothing you can do to stop the hit pieces from coming. Trump went after the media like no other presidential candidate ever and now they are coming after him...and his wife.

Do you realize they are reporters? "Instead of being business owners they make an unlikely living by writing about people who are making headlines! Who ever heard of such a thing! What kind of person would report on newsmakers for a living? Why would anyone journal current events? Who are these... reporting journalists, for lack of a better term?"

I can't even wrap my head around something so clueless. You're like the President from Hot Shots 2: "Everything goes to shit! You appoint an ambassador... and he leaves the country!"

Hack reporters is more like it. Prolly broke, driving to work in a crappy Prius, writing about how a billionaire doesn't know how to accumulate wealth. That 2nd one is for sure, she's a freelancer and I couldn't find any other work from her.

Their article is a non story and worthless. Anyone who listens to financial advice from these nobodies deserves what happens to them.

Great movie reference though.

Fascinating article: How Donald Trump Picked his Running Mate

http://www.nytimes.com/2016/07/20/m...t.com/politics/donald-trump-pence-presidency/

One day this past May, Donald Trump’s eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., reached out to a senior adviser to Gov. John Kasich of Ohio, who left the presidential race just a few weeks before. As a candidate, Kasich declared in March that Trump was “really not prepared to be president of the United States,” and the following month he took the highly unusual step of coordinating with his rival Senator Ted Cruz in an effort to deny Trump the nomination. But according to the Kasich adviser (who spoke only under the condition that he not be named), Donald Jr. wanted to make him an offer nonetheless: Did he have any interest in being the most powerful vice president in history?

When Kasich’s adviser asked how this would be the case, Donald Jr. explained that his father’s vice president would be in charge of domestic and foreign policy.

Then what, the adviser asked, would Trump be in charge of?

“Making America great again” was the casual reply.

On the other, how a presidential candidate goes about picking that person offers an early look at the nominee’s executive style. In Trump’s case — based on the recollection of over half a dozen operatives and elected officials working with both the Trump campaign and potential running mates Trump considered — the winnowing of his initial wish list reveals a distinct blend of practicality, impetuousness and disengagement.

Five on the list were women — among them, former Gov. Jan Brewer of Arizona, Gov. Mary Fallin of Oklahoma, Sen. Joni Ernst of Iowa and Gov. Nikki Haley of South Carolina. Before the list was drawn up, Trump also expressed interest in Gov. Susana Martinez of New Mexico, but after Martinez did not return repeated phone calls from Lewandowski, Trump said that he was done with her — and then bashed the governor on a campaign stop in Albuquerque in late May.

Corker was another matter. Though the much-respected Tennessee politician and former businessman had signaled his early interest in the job to Trump advisers, he did not share Trump’s taste for alley fighting. At a meeting earlier this month in Trump Tower, Corker separately told Manafort, Eric Trump, Ivanka Trump and her husband, Jared Kushner, that he didn’t think he was the best fit for the job. Corker then said the same thing to Trump, adding that he considered himself better suited for a cabinet position — say, Treasury or State Department — than as Trump’s brawling mate. Trump squinted at the senator for several seconds before saying, “O.K.” They then flew to North Carolina for a rally, where Trump called a tongue-tied Corker to the stage — leaving many observers to believe that this was the senator’s audition, and that he flunked it.

He doesn't let others dictate who he is or what he says. That's a strong sign of integrity if you ask me.
You're right, he doesn't let others dictate what he says.
He lets the wind dictate that.

Not sure how that translates to integrity though.

He's consistently negotiated deals and by a very large margin came out on top against other very heavy hitting successful people. He's not the most honest guy in the world, but he has miles more integrity and conscience than Killery.

Seems like a doubtful proposition since he most likely bought away rape charges in the past, has shown some real racist opinions (the proper sort where it's about genetic inferiority), etc.

Because just spewing out any nonsense, whether it's true or a lie, is applauded by the right wing.

"Well at least he speaks his mind". Lol. They somehow believe this is a positive characteristic.

There are strong arguments for genetic differences in intelligence.

The fact of the matter is that today it's a rare quality to not immediately bow to PC culture or the status quo. Anyone standing their ground in the face of the liberal slander machine has integrity.

That's utter nonsense.

If I say something stupid, sticking with that stupidity isn't indicative of integrity.
