That's utter nonsense.

If I say something stupid, sticking with that stupidity isn't indicative of integrity.

Just because you think somethings stupid doesn't necessarily make it so. I don't deny he has said stupid things but a lot of what he's been criticized for is a medicine America needs.

I feel like this should warrant it's own thread. Dubya may not be the most liked individual ever but his words still carry some weight with the base. That statement is very emblematic and will be even more so after Trump goes back to the hole he crawled out of and leaves the GOP scrambling for whatever's left of their dignity.

It was interesting to hear Ted Cruz go all in on his dissaproval of Trump as a candidate, which I would think would go far to putting him in a favourable position should Trump fail in his bid for the White House (and in an even better position should Trump get trounced) and risking the wrath of the party by not getting behind a candidate that he must think is a clear failure to put himself in what he's hoping to be a prominent position next time around by being the "I told you so!".

I honestly don't know much about Cruz, but from the little I've read he was legitimately considered something of an outsider or radical in his party (strongly connected to the Tea Party fringe?). If Trumps bid fails, and Cruz' gamble pays off with him leading the Republicans into the next election against a second term Hilary (which I would think would be an even easier win for the Republicans), could that mean that Trump's run ends up pushing the Republican party even more to the extreme of it's base?

So you disagree with me stating that some things he has said were stupid but agree he has said stupid things.

Quality post on your part.

No we are talking about integrity and I qualified him having this attribute by showing he is willing to take the hard road in the face of criticism.

Try to keep up.

And, again, sticking with incorrect or stupid opinions isn't "taking the hard road in the face of criticism", it's being an idiot.
You praise Trump for his inflexibility, even when it requires him to hold mutually exclusive positions.
That's not integrity on his part, it's being a moron.

I'm going to write you off as a hater and call it a day. If you think there have been no instances where he has said something correct but unpopular I can't be bothered with you.

What the fuck, why are you being dishonest? What I have said is that holding onto positions and statements that are wrong, which he does, is not a sign of integrity. What I have said is that the "unpopular" positions he holds are the ones he's adopted because they're politically beneficial and poll driven (i.e. the wind).

Trump is the biggest panderer we've seen in politics in the last several decades and you are considering that pandering as "integrity" even when he contradicts himself from one week to the next.

And I'm saying I think you're insane.

Hillary is by far a bigger panderer than Trump so he's not even close to the biggest. Two, I understand that he's hung on to some dumb ideas, he's also reeled back in some of his idiocy too. I still don't think it out weighs the amount of accurate ideas he has that have brought him a gauntlet of hate. You refuse to give him an inch so I think it's you that's dishonest.

Trump's entire campaign is pandering. That's all there is to his whole campaign.
Yeah, a guy who outsources and hires illegals really gives a fuck.

who da fuck cares if his ex-model wife read something that was plagiarized by some speech writer no one's ever heard of?

hahahahaha that's reaching

Dumbasses who are looking for little victories. They're such a stupid bunch of assclowns who would rather see career politicans run things because thats all they've ever known.

If ever you needed something to show you how easily manipulated the majority of people are by the media, its this presidential race.

You're just wrong on this one. The southern border has been a problem for decades, Lou Dobbs was screaming his head off about it 10-15 years ago in CNN when the NAFTA stuff started. Trump resonates with this and brought it to light as part of his campaign platform. That's not pandering, he believes it and he should.

Yeah, the guy that has personally benefited from "yuge deals" like NAFTA, and continues to exploit existing legal loopholes and hires illegal immigrants, really believes these things.
You're buying into blatant pandering.

I don't know about "integrity" o_O
obama copied Patrick Duval's speech and got elected president............ much closer plagerism than melania's.

all the sudden melania the white shedevil.

that's like saying I profit hugely from overpriced health care (I do), so I couldnt possibly support UHC(I do).

really silly reasoning. We live in a capitalistic society, you'de be a fool if you did your best to be poor. Hell, I'm profiting due to the banking crisis, does it mean I support repealing of glass steagal done by bill clinton? I must be some pandering dude that's not running for office.......
