I'm not claiming it isn't a legit story by the average standard. My point is how hypocritical it is for the media to attack Trump for lowering the bar, while they throw away a moral standard(That the 1st lady is not seeking political office, and is off limits as they did not volunteer to be put under scrutiny).

She was never being attacked here. She was being criticized for plagiarism, which is not a low bar -- it's actually upholding a higher ideal that plagiarism isn't okay -- and her husband turned it into another wacky mess of a story.

Talking about Trumps wife speech is a non story. That woman was barley visible during the campaign.
And now she makes a speech with a few lines similar to Michelle's speech? And those lines were about basic stuff like your parents and hard work.
I cant figure out why any normal guy would care about that.

But on a side note its astonishing for me to see how people cannot figure out that going after those small Trump scandals will not hurt him at all.
They are trying the same thing for like 12 months now and it just doesn't work
If anything it will help him because he is in the news 24/7, I wouldn't put it past trump to have instigated this whole thing to create more interest.

That was the mystifying second day of the story. Why was she claiming she wrote it? Everyone, including Rince Preibus, was saying just fire the speechwriter who created a speech so bad that people thought the writer may have tried to deliberately sabotage Trump's wife. And if she did write it, just acknowledged she screwed up and people would have a few laughs at her expense and move on.

There was a time when a candidates wife was off limits.

I don't look at that story and have a problem with Trump or his wife, I have a problem with the media, as it claims Trump is lowering the conversation by race-baiting, and at the same time going after the wife of a politician.
