Yes, of course it is selective- the MAGA principles against illegal aliens, or legal aliens that disagree with Trump- go out the window with those who are necessary to maintain our economy and food supply. These people allegedly didn't exist- remember, they were taking American jobs? "White replacement" theory?
lol at that idea. Go out to the Central Valley in CA, watch these people wrapped up in hot clothing working endless hours in 110-degree heat and tell me you could get an American to dip their little toe in that job. That's a fool's errand.
Gen Z will not do construction, FACT; there are like zilch young men that will do construction these days causing a mass shortage (coupled with a serious housing shortage); immigrants are the only way we will fill that gap, and you live in a pathetic world of denial if you think otherwise. There aren't even enough young workers if we could get them to do those kinds of jobs.
Complaints from farmers are finally reaching the White House, and they are realizing what a lot of dim Americans don't- that the US needs immigrants, and it needs a lot of them in many areas of our labor market as well as our scientific/tech community. Notice I used the word "needs," that's distinct from claiming that it is helpful to have them, or that they make a nice addition.
The immigrant situation is far from all one way. That's why stripping them of their freedom of speech and other Constitutional rights is also problematic- you get a goon squad of cops coming to arrest you and pull you off the streets if you say the wrong thing as an immigrant, and we actually need to give them the rights that other have since they are here working among us. Time to pull back on the Gestapo number.
Mad hypocrisy.
