Aspinall has 14 finishes in 14 wins. He's hardly going to just lay on Poatan. He'll elbow his face into paste and then crank on a limb until it snaps off.

That's if he doesn't KO him standing first.

Tom's also never made it past the second round. Shane Carwin looked like a killer too until he got to the second round.

Aspinall is still so unproven, people don't get it. Poatan has showed us championship resilience , Tom hasn't.

Just watched Blaydes vs Aspinall. Aspinall can't even throw a kick without hurting himself! what a joke. Imagine what Poatan will do with his vicious leg kicks.

Poatan got KO'ed by a MW he had a massive size advantage over. Now they are talking about him fighting someone as big as he is who actually grapples.

He won't accept this fight. Too dangerous. He'll look for some flat footed striker if he fights at HW like Rozenstruik or Tai Tuivasa.

He is no more proven than Tom.

It's a hard fight for Alex but a win means he is one of the all time greats. He is already heading to the HOF with two belts in a short time. It's one of those blah blah this dude in his prime is better than Alex or his win streak is better but those guys never went up to challenge themselves. I think Alex has major holes and is beatable but it would be awesome to see him try to capture a 3rd belt.

Honestly Aspinall should take this fight rather easily but if Alex can win then he is one of the greatest combat sports athletes.

Alex is in my top 5 current favorite ufc fighters. But if he fought Tom it wouldn’t go well at all for him outside of his bank account blowing up. Tom isn’t dumb, all he would do is take down poatan and gnp his way to a stoppage or submission. It wouldn’t be competitive as I doubt Tom will let it stay standing for long.

I think the ufc isn’t struggling in the big picture, however I do think they are struggling to find the headliner for 300. I think Dana knows the fans want THE most exciting fight that can be put together because it’s supposed to be a landmark event. But the problem is they don’t have too many super stars (fighters who transition to casuals) who fight at the moment. And that is causing an issue for the main event because they know it has to be absolutely huge fight that makes a ton of noise on paper.

If Aspinall losses though that's going to look bad and definitely take away the Jones fight from him.Though I doubt Jones would give it to him anyway..I do think if Peirera wins Jones will probably take that fight figuring he could do the same as he did to Gane..
