Tim Kennedy in legal trouble over falsifying his military background(?)

He lied about both of those yes.
He said he had over 20 combat deployments. He has 2.
He told stories about being with 30 other Green Berets surrounded by 400 Iranians.
He lied about killing women and children.
He lied about killing 20 men with a CheyTac rifle that he had never shot, that he borrowed from Canadian snipers, without a spotter, from a tower that there is no record of anyone shooting anyone from.
He lied about using thermals to shoot enemy combatants in the middle of the night that were hiding under dead bodies.
He lied about watching his teammates burn to death.
He lied about driving through villages hanging out of a car window with an M4 in each hand, shooting every military aged male that raised their eyes from the ground while they passed through.
He lied about shooting an 11 year old that was carrying a 1875 lever action British rifle. He shot him from 600 meters, then retrieved the rifle from the kids dead body, brought it home and hung it on his wall. His ground force commander came out and said Tim bought the rifle outside of the military base. That they're left over, all you have to do is go and buy one, get two people on the base to sign off on it, and present the signed documents and receipt at customs and you can bring it home.

His ground force commander who was giving him orders came on the Anti-Hero podcast and went through his lies. His teammates from that deployment came on the podcast and went through all of his lies.

That's not even the worst case of fluffing I've ever heard but it's in the same ballpark.

What took his chain of command so long to expose him? He's been semi-fanous for like a decade.

He just released a book like 4 months ago telling all of these stories. And his teammates, and guys like Brent Tucker read it and said fuck that you're done making millions of dollars off of lies, and then using teammates who have died as your "proof" that you did these things.

Would be hilarious if the publisher turned around and sued him. Or book stores move his book into fiction section.

"What the fuck did you just fucking say about me, you little bitch? I'll have you know I [insert Tim Kennedys career here]"

Yeah. I think what's not being understood by that guy is not just the stolen valor, but the massive profiting off of it. This isn't Sgt. Schmo bragging about his fake exploits during your weekly poker game. This guy is arguably the most recognizable face for this, and it's based on bullshit

I'll say this, guys that go to him for weapons training, physical fitness, BJJ, self defense.... the guy knows his shit. He's going to help you. And I truly believes he cares about helping you improve yourself, and your skills. But his claims, his stories, the shit he claims he's done is so exaggerated its insane. I feel like he's one of those guys that got a bit too deep into his stories and just couldn't climb out so he kept lying hoping to get through it.

He probably doesn't even think he has told a lie he's such a deluded fried sociopath at this point.

I have to correct this. He says "So i'm hanging off the side of my vehicle with my sniper rifle, and my sbr" but later when he talks about actually rolling up on folks to shoot them, he's only pointing his SBR. He's not actually shooting both at the same time. However if you rewind like 15min in the below clip, he's talking about shooting people with his "sniper rifle" from the hip. I believe the rifle he was carrying was a SR-25.

oh. :(

Tim was legitimately a Green Beret who saw combat and served in both Afghan and Iraq. I'll never understand why he still felt the need to make shit up (just like Chris Kyle).

And a certain other real American...

New Mexico.
