I actually don’t think that there were insufficient warnings. I think this should be a wake up call to a lot of people though to stop playing this silly game where we pretend that climate change is not real and that we have full command of our environment. We don’t and nature just reminded us how powerless we can be.Do you have a source for there were "insufficient warnings"?
The scary truth of this I think really is that on that day and the days leading up to it, it was already too late to prevent that tragedy. It may be time to start reconsidering where it is safe to be when even a seemingly normal storm is predicted. We are having more and more previously unprecedented disasters or event after another. Our world is changing and it’s time we recognize it and plan accordingly.
The first responders and rescue teams all represented themselves well during this. I can’t imagine how challenging and terrifying it must be to try and operate in this situation.
