This is gross and people that knew how to stop it were fired. Kids. This is cutting funds. This is not giving people a heads up. R.I.P.
Are you legit tarded? My state gets flood warnings. On my phone. People died here, and it is a travesty and it should be on this administrations' feet.I'm not beholden to any political party, but I live in Missouri and even our news station said they were warned hours in advance of the actual flooding.
It's heartbreaking, especially the children, but most people just don't pay any mind to these warnings. At least, in my experience they don't.
Yet you gleefully stand on their graves to pump out TDS nonsense. You don't give a shit about these kids.I am without words. Little children washing away. I hope they went quick and weren't scared for too long. I am saddened to my soul on this one. Innocent souls dying isn't like us. Most here have dirt from worse to better, but we understand why we go. These are innocents. I'd gladly give my life for just one of them to live.
This is true.Yet you gleefully stand on their graves to pump out TDS nonsense. You don't give a shit about these kids.

Again more stupid shit from you and dancing on kids graves.
"Yes, Texas authorities did issue flash flood warnings and watches before the severe flooding, but the intensity and speed of the rainfall exceeded initial forecasts. While some warnings were issued, including a flash flood emergency alert, the scale and suddenness of the flooding, particularly in the overnight hours, caught many off guard. "
People dropped the ball on this. I'm sorry that I blamed any side on this being partisan. This was avoidable, however. People dropped the ball.
Lol, tdsChildren died and the emergency notices did not happen.
Have fun hand waving kids dying.
This is true.
I think that while it may not have contributed, stripping funding to agencies that track these storms and send alerts out is not a good move. Why skimp on meager money like this? I know why. Because Trump doesn't want to be called on shit. Blame will always be shifted and even better if there is no one there to point out what went wrong there is no blame.Unless there’s a very direct link that you can source, that contributed to this happening, I think it’s best to just leave politics out of such a terrible story.
Nowhere in what you quoted does it say they could have predicted the severity with more resources. It actually suggests the opposite.Wired said this:
But meteorologists who spoke to WIRED say that the NWS accurately predicted the risk of flooding in Texas and could not have foreseen the extreme severity of the storm. What’s more, they say that what the NWS did forecast this week underscores the need to sustain funding to the crucial agency.
But they also said this:
The cuts made to NOAA as part of President Donald Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) efforts have made headlines this year, and with good reason: The NWS has lost more than 500 staffers since the beginning of the year, leaving some offices unstaffed overnight. It’s also cut key programs and even satellites that help keep track of extreme weather. Meteorologists have repeatedly said that these cuts will make predicting extreme weather even harder—and could be deadly as climate change supercharges storms and increases rainfall. But both Vagasky and Lanza say that this week’s forecasts were solid.
Is there any part of you that acknowledges this disaster might indicate a weakness in the system and that it could be fixed?
They predicted the event but didn't have the resources to determine the severity.
I can only imagine what you'd say if Democrats had reduced a service by this degree and it was immediately followed by a catastrophe.
Why skimp on meager money like this?
We are run by the mafia now. I liked it better when real men were in charge that earned their stripes by being strong and being stand up men. Trump is soft as a tissue.Beyond anything, Trump just wants to run the US government like it's a protection racket, both through foreign and domestic policy. He does this not only because he's a power-hungry cunt, but also because bribery and quid pro quo are the only things he personally understands. To him, giving something to somebody without getting anything back in return isn't just stupid—it doesn't even make sense. This is one of the key traits of Narcissistic Personality Disorder.
