There is no convincing reason why the UFC isn't rebooking Arman VS Islam again

Aside from Dana's vindictiveness... I hate that Islam is fighting yet another fight where he has nothing to gain and everything to lose with Topuria... I'm of the opinion that if you make 155 you're a lightweight, but clearly most people don't share this opinion so if Islam wins he "defends against FWs", if he loses (which is a real possibility since Ilia is a dangerous KO artist) he'll lose everything.

No one else besides Arman at LW, it makes sense to rebook that.

Of course it is that. The UFC is punishing Arman, because the execs care more about sending a message than making the most merit-based matchup...especially when there are alternative options that will do just as well (or better in the case of Islam-Ilia, if that is what happens).

Where is this BS that Islam struggles with making weight? Please show me where he's missed weight. And if you say it's just a struggle, that doesn't count. Most fighters struggle with the last few pounds of weight cutting.
I didn't mean to imply that he waz not a professional & gets the job done. My comment waz based on interviews of him describing why he is interested in moving oop & that it's inevitable due to the extent of his weight cut.

Eye wazn't implying anything negative... just pointing out that he's on teh top end of 155, where what's his name is on teh Topy end of 145... & so there's still a weight class of difference in them.

I'm a fan of Islam, but despite that, I do try to keep my pov's non-bias either way... especially though... if I'm a fan... 😁
