He doesn't have to be any good. His opponent just has to be worse.
Need evidence?
2016

^ Yeah. Keep telling yourself that when he somehow gets re-elected. Then you'll start accusing the POTUS of more Russian Collusion or some other bullshit excuse for losing to him again.
11+ months to go and counting....
hi Foots!
not really a pussy ass - just not much of a tactician.
in january 2018, he had his chance and he should have taken it. 25 billion of wall money for DACA protections.
that was his moment and he blew it.
i'll give him credit for having the stones to declare that he was going to shut the government down, though, and then he did it. it was a little like driving a car off a cliff.
that takes gumption.

Are you saying that Comey didn't provide Trump a massive boost, or are you just being moronically argumentative?
As for the Russians in 2016, even Rudy has abandoned defending the Trump campaign about collusion and is falling back to defend the citadel of Trump himself, now that we know that Manafort, the head of Trump’s campaign, was offering secret polling data, for a US election, to a Kremlin linked Ukrainian spy with the point of facilitating the Kremlin's intervention into the US presidential election, to benefit Donal J. Trump, in exchange for helping Russian interests vis-a-vis Ukraine. And, now that we know that Manafort, along with Trump Jr. and Kushner, met with Natalia V. Veselnitskaya, who has now clearly been exposed as an agent of the Kremlin (and therefore was working for the Kremlin at the time of the meeting) and discussed a quid pro quo deal to help Trump win the election in exchange for the Trumps undoing the Magnitsky act. And we have had Trump Jr. lying his ass off about all of it to the media (and probably to congress as well, along with maybe Kushner), we have Trump Sr. crafting lies for Trump Jr. to try to cover up those lies, and we have Trump Sr. still licking Putin's boots every chance he gets, from him taking Putin's side over US intel (including Pompeo) in Helsinki to Trump lifting the sanctions on Deripaska as fast as he possibly could.
And Corsi and Stone still haven't even flipped yet to fill in the gaps regarding the Wikileaks pathway.
Slamming a car into a telephone poll doesn't take gumption. It just takes you being retarded.
Keep on hoping for an impeachment and a removal that won't happen.

Yes. Which is more than anyone can say for Past Presidents who end up being just another Cog in the Political Machine.
hi glenwo2,
i'll give you that, partially.
in the end, by triggering the shutdown, i agree that Mr. Trump steeled himself to the task (after being eviscerated by the Freedom Caucus and Ann Coulter).
with no obvious legislative path to victory and an implacable opponent in Mrs. Pelosi, President Trump just yolo'd ahead anyway.
that takes balls. there are probably a legion of Democrats who would have been very happy if President Obama had shutdown the government over the Merrick Garland nomination.
the thing is, Mr. Trump also revealed other things;
1) that neither he nor his proxy, Mr. Kushner, have any actual dealmaking aptitude.
2) that Mr. Trump is willing to commit to a no-win situation in order to please a very small minority in congress, the Freedom Caucus.

Hate to break it to you, but that's where you're completely wrong. If a wall keeps ONE murdering MS13 member or fentanyl dealer out, or prevents a drunk illegal from being behind the wheel and hurting myself or a family member, the wall is worth it.

Well Donny's entire career has been of one bankruptcy after another. Bailed out and propped up time and again by Daddy until daddy said 'no more'. Then once all US banks said 'no more', he resorted to shady Russian and Mob money to prop up his real estate.Damn, an entire career down the drains here folks.
Hate to break it to you, but I wouldn't spend a billion dollars to save you or any one single person, let along up to twenty five billion.

It's funny how much you're willing to spend to save one person from an immigrant, but you same types wouldn't spend a dime to save thousands from poverty and death.
Never thought that Trump would drop below 30% like a lot people were predicting at the beginning of his presidency given how polarized the US is now, but he just might get there.

I guess if you wanna give Donny credit is that he will not allow any of the usual things that would deter a business man (ethics, legal risk) deter him.
We'll see how that goes for him.
Declared bankruptcy 6 times and daddy had to bail him out of trouble on many occasions, been sued 4,000+ times, constantly stiffed contractors and eventually US banks would no longer loan him money, what else is there to understand?holy fuck you're out of touch and misinformed beyond belief. You don't understand differences in bankruptcy nor do you understand what his dad did for him. Also nice attempt with the Russian gimmicks. You're still on that train lul
