The UFC has revealed their list of the top-selling fighters in the UFC store in 2024 .

This is why the UFC rightfully refuse to pay Jon Jones even 10m for a single fight (he wants over 20m!!).

He's not even their biggest American fighter in terms of popularity in predominantly an American marketplace (their store).

Not surprised by Alex given his activity level. Kind of shocked by the rest. Max fought on the same card headlined by Alex so how do you distinguish that exactly?

Jon fought once this year and we know he's a high medium draw at best.

Aljamain Sterling said the PPV numbers for his fight against Sean wasn't worth the quick turnaround back in 2023. It makes you wonder.

Is the UFC starving for big pay-per-view movers? You decide
Has nothing to do with PPV. You high?

Being inactive and a sociopathic criminal woman beater is going to impact your merch sales. Look on here, apart from a few nutcases, nobody likes Jones enough to pay money to walk around draped in his image. The casual audience is different but it is still influenced by similar dynamics.

It's not like Poatan, where seemingly 95% of this forum wants to apply to be his personal fluffer/Iraqi Information Minister to deflect any questions about why he is the most protected fighter in history and why he is ducking Ankalaev.

But people still show up to watch Jones fight.

Given the number of usa fighters that sell the most, the question is, are usa fans the ones paying the most in the world for ppv?

115$ for a pair of the ugliest shorts of all time

The UFC Store is Americacentric, meaning that, for example, even though Islam and Khamzat are among the world's most popular fighters, their world fanbase is unlikely to pay what is to them exhorbitant prices and shipping fees for UFC store products, and I really doubt that the UFC Store ships to Dagestan, Chechnya, and the rest of Russia. Of course 4 of the 5 most popular UFC fighters - based on UFC Store sales - are American as I'm guessing that the majority of UFC store sales are to Americans.

Who has the most social media followers is more telling, but you'd have to include all social media followers in the respective followers' native languages as well. China, for example, has at least 6 popular social media platforms which are only in Chinese.

Wonder what's the cut they get for each merch. Maybe 20%?

hope O'Malley doesn't see this it'll just perpetuate the amount of colours he borrows from the spectrum to add on his cornrows to the lead up of a fight

Honestly, I still expected Conor to make the list. His fan base and Jon's are basically one and the same.

Hopefully the fighters are getting the lion's share of the merchandise revenues.

MMA marketing in the clothing department throughout history has not been good. Literally, 98% of what they put out is not anything anyone would wear. A few clothing brands that use to play in this market had a few nice looking shirts but even them for the most part it was a damn mess most of the time.

I have hard time believing they are killing it in the merch department of the UFC.

I truly don't know how they sell these shorts. You can't wear them when you grapple people would laugh at you. Do you just cosplay in the mirror throwing left hooks like Alex.
