As Trump's administration continues to push the boundaries of legality and the foundation of our Democracy, I'd like to issue a challenge to his remaining supporters on this forum.

Where do you draw the line in the sand? What would Trump or his administration have to do for you to finally say "enough is enough"? What would this nation have to become for you to withdraw all support for him and his administration?

You can say whatever you'd like, of course, but here are a few options.

Trump refuses to comply with orders from the Supreme Court.
The government begins threatening public officials. <----- You are here.
The government begins deporting incarcerated (convicted criminal) US citizens.
Trump declares war against (strikes or invades) an adversary.
Trump declares war against (strikes or invades) an ally.
Trump deploys the military within our borders.
Trump declares martial law.
The government arrests dissenters who are exercising their free speech.
The government begins deporting non-incarcerated (non-criminal) US citizens.
Trump refuses to leave office if impeached and convicted.
Trump dissolves Congress / SCOTUS.
Trump deploys the military against (fires upon) US citizens within our borders.
Trump pauses or cancels elections.

I make this thread solely in the interest of posterity and future discussions. I'm not claiming that any of the above is or is not probable (I'll keep my opinion on that to another discussion).

So, what does the "Don't Tread On Me" crowd say?

The thing is, he has already crossed the line by attempting to get a scam win in the election with a fake elector scheme that he would have gone to jail for if he had lost the election, then conning millions of sycophantic followers into believing it was actually his opponent that stole the election.

My fear is that by the time enough people wake up to the world, it will be too late. They just announced cutting the top 20% of the military leaders at the Pentagon today; Trump has also gradually removed all watchdogs and opposition that was put in place to stop corruption. They are clearing the way to minimize resistance; they learned from the first time around. It's going to be critical for the Dems to win the House and Senate back in the midterm; deep shit if they don't win at least the House. JD Vance will surely take the unconstitutional path and do his best to keep Trump in power; he won't take the principled path that Mike Pence took in certifying the election, so it might get scary.

Once that happens, the election results next year become irrelevant. If a couple dozen Republicans in Congress had any principles or balls to speak of, you could maybe put an end to this right now before it's too late. But those Republicans no longer exist.

The country was fucked last November when 77,302,580 morons elected a fascist criminal for President. It's easy to blame the assholes in this administration, but they wouldn't have had the opportunity to fuck up this country if not for the assholes at the ballot box. All they can do now is sit back, eat their shit sandwich, and lie to themselves about who made it.

There have been a handful of legitimate responses which have mostly been met with good-faith replies. But of course there have been far, far more responses like yours—which dismiss the entire concept of the thread and only denigrate it. Naturally, those responses are met in kind.

So in other words, if you want to have a reasonable debate, then you have to actually engage in one, instead of just posting the worthless drive-by bullshit you typically come with. But of course, you don't actually want to have a reasonable debate on this topic, because it makes you uncomfortable.
