Was going to do EMOM. There was some teen there that had lots of questions about PL/WL so I spent about 25 minutes talking to him. Seemed like a young me: doing 5x5, thinking he needed extra work on various parts (abs, upper body). I used my hind sight to tell him just to stick to this linear progression until he couldn’t, back off and reset 2 or 3 times, then move to a more intermediate program.
He asked about WL/Oly and I told him I wasn’t anyone to consult but if he wanted to there was lots of BB clubs and Gyms in the city he could find a coach, I tried explaining that cleaning isn’t really about how strong you are but how fast you can get into position and your ability to stay there through the movement.
He decided he would stick to his 5x5 for now.
