What have you already seen ?

The Obvious ones

Cowboy Beebop

Outlaw Star

Seen them all except outlaw star, I saw the first two episodes but can't get into it.

It has its flaws but to me it got better , it's a jumbled mess in the middle until they start focusing on the encompassing storyline.

guys any completed anime recommendations, preferably not more than 50 episodes. kinda prefer the older stuff 90s to mid 2000s but will watch anything good.
The Big O
Ravemaster
Zoids New Century
Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex
Medabots
Digimon Tamers
Berserk
GTO

Wow what a waste of a season. This makes me never want to go see the movies again if this is what they are going to do with the seasons.
First 7 episodes are an extended version of the Mugen Train, not sure why they are doing this to us, but most likely to expand on Rengoku's story.

Finished fire first saeson of Eden's Zero. Now onto the brutal waiting game... ):

Went full weeb and started watching 'The Great Jahy Will Not Be Defeated!' Pretty funny so far.

And WTF is up with all of the super exagerrated food/eating food scenes where the characters make it seem like it is the greatest thing in the world. The characters just go to town on their meals.. I don't get it.

Director of Edens Zero died a week or two back. So not sure what happens here, I know Fairy Tail had like 14 directors over its run.
Just waiting for the 2nd half of Edens Zero to be on Netflix, I got sick of watching it on dodgy websites haha

Wow, what is going on this year...

guuuhhh..

maybe the extra scenes will make it bearable and a better arc. But the movie was... very.... very..... VERY.... disappointing. one of the worst anime movies I've ever seen honestly. It was so badly made that I felt NOTHING. And this is coming from someone who's tears freely flowed when Sunny (the first ship from One Piece) "died"....

Who knows, maybe they had always planned on laying out the the story this way. We won't know how it works out until we see the episodes.

The movie smashed so many records that I have to wonder if it was a last minute financial decision rather then a plot based one.

If you're ignorant enough to think one show represents an entire medium with 50+ years of history then I don't know what to tell you. It's like if you were to watch an episode of Doctor Who, hate it, and then refuse to watch any sci-fi television of any kind.

I started watching anime when I was like 4 or 5 with Star Blazers then Gatchaman and then robotech and voltron. did not know it was anime. Then ninja scroll and fists of the north star. Still no idea it was anime.
Then I heard DBZ was anime and tried getting into that many times and was like....well, I guess anime is shit.

it is the same thing as hearing a new style of music and the first band you hear is shit and you think the whole genre is shit.

I think giving Death Note a try was what finally got me back into anime. But yeah, dbz and seeing some stupid clips of I'm a ninja belive it naruto fucked me up. Like I really gave DBZ a shot....watched a lot of episodes.

but i did watch and liked Power Puff Girls and I guess that is considered anime...not going to talk about the PPG ice cream cake my wife at the time got for my birthday

PS also, why would a college kid have any idea of the long history of anime and shit when he wasn't even into it (well was into it but did not know it)

Not really, no. It's very much a western animation. It's one of Genndy Tartakovsky's series, who is one of the more influential western animators of the last 30 years.

I don't watch much anime but Black Lagoon is fuck'n awesome.

I rewatched the Demon Slayer movie and they imply that Tanjiro will be traveling to the Kyojuro (Flame Hasihra) residence to learn more about the Fire Dance of Tanjiro's father. It seems they were always planning on using part of season II to show the history of the flame arts ...or maybe we're just getting played lol

Eh, reminds me of when Dragon Ball Super premiered, and the first bunch of episodes were just the first two movies.

So 4 years ago Goku used Ultra Instinct.

Fuck it's already been 4 years.

New anime by death note creator Platinum end, first episode out.
