Television The Anime and Manga Thread: v45

I feel pretty bad about this, but my first reaction to this poster was "look how stubby her legs look".

I just wanna say one thing. The MC in Tokyo Revengers is the biggest bitch in anime ever. 24 episodes, and he's damn well cried in every one of them. He makes the show a chore to watch, a few characters keep me from dropping it, like Mikey but ffs man.

I've seen you say this before and it's put me off on watching this anime. I can't stand that kind of stuff. Does the character grow at all?

Barely. He still a bitch and cries even when he's 'standing up'......he's a bitch. I honestly watched it for the other characters like Mikey. Dunno if Ill carry on though.

Just got fully caught up on the AoT anime. I guess the final season was only half released? Hulu only has 16 episodes. Overall, I enjoyed the series a lot. I want to pick up the manga where the anime left off so I can get some conclusion. lol

As far as anime goes, thinking of jumping in to Naruto's world again and watching the spin-offs. Not sure, though. Might check out Assassination Classroom. It keeps getting pushed to the front of the list because of other stuff that I have watched.

I read earlier today that Dr Stone is doing the final arc now. Aww, was hoping this would go on for a bit longer! Loved the story and characters. I dig those primitive age mangas (even though this was technically far off in the future).

I tried reading Boruto and it was terrrrrrrrrrible. This coming from somebody who generally enjoyed Naruto.

Grashros is a guilty pleasure of mine. I loved it and generally love Kaneshiro’s work. He’s definitely got a sense of humor I can appreciate! lol

I remember reading Arata Primal a while back too. It was pretty interesting, but didn’t really get a chance to flesh out a good idea. A similar read to this one that I liked a lot is Sousei noTaiga. That one’s still going too. Updates are few and far between, though.

Mushoku Tensei season 2 out early October. On another note I can't wait until they merge crunchyroll n funamation into single app.

It gets much better quality wise to the point where it's now basically just a sequel(they had a really big episode this week that's as iconic as anything in Shippuden) but it takes awhile.

The bigger issue(that started at the end of Shippuden) that hurts it for me is it being shifted to being about aliens and everyone who isn't an alien or somehow related to aliens(or robots which are called "scientific ninja tools) is now irelevant. Part of what made the original so charming is everyone was improving themselves by learning new mysterious techniques and powering up to fight mysterious villians. Now the improvement is directly tied to the aliens in various ways.

...seriously? Aliens? This isn't just a troll post, they've legitimately introduced aliens?

I mean you've watched the end of Shippuden right? They already did there they just expand on it.

It's been a hot minute since I read it (just checked the date and it was seven years ago...jesus that went fast) but evil spirit lady was just another mythological figure. Making her an alien is a major league retcon.

Yeah she came from space. She was one member of a clan of aliens.

We lost a manga legend.

84's a pretty good run. It's too bad we didn't get more of Golgo 13 here in the states, I really enjoyed the one or two volumes that I came across.

Such weird twist of fate that this happened, just when the James Bond film No Time To Die is about to come out. Saito used to work on a James Bond manga series before creating Golgo 13, which in a way started out as a spiritual follow up to his 007 manga.

@Lavitz

Looks like we are getting Some Zoro Chapters then probably followed by Sanji before we get the the final Clash for Luffy and Kaido.

4th Season of Baki is out. They have it listed as Baki Hamna on Netflix. Hopefully I'll get to watch some this weekend.
