Television The Anime and Manga Thread: v45

@Lavitz

Looks like we are getting Some Zoro Chapters then probably followed by Sanji before we get the the final Clash for Luffy and Kaido.
Yeah hopefully. I think this is the longest arc as of now if I’m doing the math right.

Started back in 2018!!! Not sure you can top the roof top clash between the captains and vice captains vs Kaido.

Not sure if Kaido will defeated or if there will be an interruption.

Yeah Wano Surpassed Dressrosa 15 chapters ago , I don't mind , I mean the groundwork for Wano was arguably laid out as far back as Marineford when Ace mentioned making Oars a strawhat , Oda has been waiting for this Arc for years.

I'm trying to remember an anime character and I'm hoping you guys can help me out.
The character has a normal human body that has big muscles, but his head is in the shape of a brick. The character is really dumb, almost retarded. He has an attack like Kirby where he sucks air in. I want to say he's a clone or a genetically engineered character, but I'm not 100% sure on that.

Demon Slayer season 2 trailer.

Apparently the first half is retelling the movie/Mugen Train arc, but in depth. Coming out October 10th.

Zoro vs King looks like it will be Zoros Katakuri fight. Gotta say I like that King is trying to get the fight over with as long as possible as opposed to other fights in the series where they drag it out while the other person gets stronger.

I've read the entire series and I can't even remember what happens after the train. I'll be interested to see if it can live up to the hype the first season created.

Finished watching Baki 4 on Netflix. Damn that shit dragged way too long for a series where you just watch it for the fighting. They need to do a Yujiro spin off since we all just want to see him kick ass.

I still haven't watched the movie so I guess I can skip it if then?

Wow what a waste of a season. This makes me never want to go see the movies again if this is what they are going to do with the seasons.

Anyone got anything like Liar Game/Kaiji? Ive pretty much reread and watched anything to do with those shows. I also read and watched the authors other works like One Outs/Akagi.....

Squid Games has given me an itch, and yes Ive seen Alice in Borderlands.

I tried Season 5 of My Hero Academia and they start of the season with a shitty filler episode? Yeah dropping it.

Legit wtf is the point. I liked the movie, but man I swear this kind of retreads and fillers piss me off. Id rather watch nothing at all than a filler.

It feels like it's a move to extend the anime and grab that extra cash. I can't blame them, but I do wish they would pick up directly from where the movie ends.

Finally decided to take the plunge and watch Dragon Ball GT. About 30 episodes in and not exactly sure how I feel about it.

I just saw that World's End Harem is getting an anime. The manga is garbage, but I guess "titties" is enough to get an adaption. I think the funniest thing about that series is that its basically just a softcore porno but the artist couldn't draw anatomy worth a damn. They should have gotten an actual porn artist who knew what they were doing instead of the schlub they got who couldn't even draw a proper titty.

That's exactly what it is. I love how they say try to pretend like it will be more indepth as if that means anything. Nothing happened in that movie that I need more depth added to it.

If you're ignorant enough to think one show represents an entire medium with 50+ years of history then I don't know what to tell you. It's like if you were to watch an episode of Doctor Who, hate it, and then refuse to watch any sci-fi television of any kind.

guuuhhh..

maybe the extra scenes will make it bearable and a better arc. But the movie was... very.... very..... VERY.... disappointing. one of the worst anime movies I've ever seen honestly. It was so badly made that I felt NOTHING. And this is coming from someone who's tears freely flowed when Sunny (the first ship from One Piece) "died"....

guys any completed anime recommendations, preferably not more than 50 episodes. kinda prefer the older stuff 90s to mid 2000s but will watch anything good.

I'm watching The Great Pretender right now, and am enjoying it. I think someone here recommended it, but it could have been a few threads ago.

Finished the AoT manga. Man, wtf? It could have gone in any number of directions to an ending, but I was not digging it at all.
