To me it's not boring because Islam is still working, he's not just laying there for a solid 30 seconds, throw one punch and then lay again for another 30 seconds. It's entertaining to see someone dominate so much, and to see fighter after fighter unable to stop it.

People should be pissed at these other dudes not training MIXED martial arts, and actually be able to stop a takedown or get up from the ground.

The fight not being entertaining is 100% JDM's fault. He didn't do shit on the ground. Islam was doing what he was supposed to do IMO.

By the end of the fight Belal had earned my respect with his performance. He was in the pocket trading, mixing things up with his grappling to do damage. I had to take my hat off to him

Tonight I wanted JDM to win. What we saw take place was tragic. Just like Khamzat’s performance vs DDP. Eastern fighters are killing the sport, they are completely bereft of any semblance of showmanship

What’s really tragic is that they haven’t released the trumpstein files.

he tried to get to octopus guard multiple time, as a BJJ guy I clearly recognized that, but Islam denied it every time. I think that was Craig Jones 'secret weapon' to sweep Islam, but yeah...good luck with that.

I actually slept through nearly the entire fight. Woke up briefly during three of the rounds. Each time was EXACTLY the same thing: Islam on top doing not much. This is as boring as MMA gets. And I have a grappling background so I appreciate the ground work when it’s active and part of a total package. MMA is MIXED martial arts, and this definitely wasn’t it.
