That was objectively boring as f***

Ilia does have a chance at 155. He has them at Georgian background in him. If they try to hype it at 170 Ilia is too short and small to compete.
Islam doesn't open up too much. He will feint and use kicks until he finds the chance to get a takedown. Rinse and repeat.

Don't fall for the bs.

Sitting in half guard for 4 minutes of a round doing nothing. You got Kebab in the corner commanding Islam to not make the fight exciting.

Don’t give me that “well JDM should have been able to get up” Islam trains to do just what he did. He trains to control in those positions while JDM is training to be offensive, combinations.

When Belal fought Leon, I wanted Leon to win more than anything. He’s English like myself, and the way Belal was carrying on pre fight it built the fight more. By the end of the fight Belal had earned my respect with his performance. He was in the pocket trading, mixing things up with his grappling to do damage. I had to take my hat off to him

Tonight I wanted JDM to win. What we saw take place was tragic. Just like Khamzat’s performance vs DDP. Eastern fighters are killing the sport, they are completely bereft of any semblance of showmanship
The UFC has a Dagestan problem. These guys spend their whole lives learning how to get you on the ground and hold you there, and then refuse to go for a finish so the opponent won’t get up.

Jack was completed schooled in the grappling department and even when they stood, Islam landed brutal leg kicks that took away Jack's mobility. Islam took the easiest path to victory which is what any smart MMA fighter will do.

its bnoring and humilating that the 170 lbs champ couldn't even attempt a get up The ufc is in a sorry state.

He tried real hard and managed to get up and whatnot at the very end of a few rounds. Not sure what the point of wasting energy for that was though haha. Seemed super dumb.
There was no point. His corner was retarded too.

And do what risk this?

The guy ain’t Fitch it’s the clash of styles & the desire to get the w

The Dustin & Volk fights were well deserved fotn/potn’s it’s just how the cookie crumbles

I enjoyed it. But it just goes to show when you are a fan of a fighter there isn't much they can do that is boring. If it was someone I didn't like, I would have found it terribly boring I'm sure.
I think this is something Shev and Islam fanboys need to understand. You can enjoy a boring ass fight because your fav is winning. But that fight was objectively boring as fuck.

Kind of like how everyone enjoyed Randy beating Tim Sylvia. Was that fight Randy Couture laying on Sylvia for 24 minutes? Yup. Was everyone cheering for Randy? Yup. Will anyone say that was an exciting fight? Hell the fuck no. That was a masterclass in LnP and nobody is ever fucking rewatching that shit.

To me it's not boring because Islam is still working, he's not just laying there for a solid 30 seconds, throw one punch and then lay again for another 30 seconds. It's entertaining to see someone dominate so much, and to see fighter after fighter unable to stop it.

People should be pissed at these other dudes not training MIXED martial arts, and actually be able to stop a takedown or get up from the ground.

most wrestlers are also one dimensional to be fair. the style matchup in general is problematic. but the wrestler will ultimately have the advantage
