They should have shot him im the hand, so he dropped his bat then the fat kid could have combat rolled over and grabbed the bat out of mid air! The he could have said something cool like ' don't bring a bat to a gunfight!'

So I didn't catch this until I read Mick's post. Apparently he pulled it from his basketball shorts once the verbal altercation starts. Shockingly the guy who got shot has some anger issue that is clinicly diagnosed, according to the fiance.

From the way the old man was carrying himself, I bet he didn't pull the gun until the dead guy threatened him. Once you have been threatened, I think you can pull your gun.

Those were some really fucking specific threats too. No ambiguity at all just straight up ' I will kill you both'.

My point is it's easy to throw out a comment about 'how do people not know how to de escalate this situation'. It's harder to give an explanation of how you'd do it.

If that's what happened then yea I see no issue here. If the guy threatened him at least. Just yelling at people isn't a reason to draw on them

There isn't a way. The thing this wasn't the first time. They already took the mattress back to the guys house multiple times. So just record the guy dumping it then call the police. It's really not that hard. There is no way this situation would even be worth going to jail and bonding myself out over.
