I don't think a person should have to capitulate every time someone pulls a gun on them in an argument. That sets a horrible precedent. I totally understand being enraged at being threatened with death for a mattress in a rural alley. Sure it wasn't smart to threaten them back, but they brought the guns out and made it a matter of life and death for no reason.

It's these trigger happy idiots that give the anti-gun crowd ammo for gun control and fuck it up for the rest of us who actually respect human life.

I think we can find a lot better examples of irresponsible gun ownership than this incident.

Apparently they lived across the street, and this was an ongoing dispute.

I think the key thing we know is that this guy has a diagnosed anger problem, and it resulted in him yelling at the top of his lungs over and over how he was going to murder these two guys, and then he went and got a deadly weapon, a baseball bat, and starting walking towards them.

I don't understand how anyone could question whether this was a good shooting. The guy was diagnosed as being mentally dangerous, verbally threatened, and then got a murder weapon.

Well I think the question is can you draw your gun on someone just from a shouting match? Was he threatened first and then pulled the gun? Apparently these guys also held a gun to the wife after killing the husband so they'll most likely get a charge for that as well.
