Crime Texas: Two fat hillbillies kill a Father over garbage

anywhere else in the west, this would probably end up with a street fight

these fat cunts are responsible gun owners?, or are we going to the usual response from gun owners about how they shouldn't have been allowed to own them, because of yada, yada, yada ???????

Fatties didn't shoot until they felt threatened . . . what's irresponsible about that?

The irresponsible part was getting worried about someone dumping a mattress in a dumpster.

They can't afford shirts . . . duh.

But it sure looks like they can afford some groceries though . . . right. ;)

If the guy had come out with a Hi-Point, then you'd know for sure he was poor.

This just reminds me of the new Mexico compound. How do you have 21 guns, and yet are starving?

Sell a fucking gun.

If that's what happened then yea I see no issue here. If the guy threatened him at least. Just yelling at people isn't a reason to draw on them

There isn't a way. The thing this wasn't the first time. They already took the mattress back to the guys house multiple times. So just record the guy dumping it then call the police. It's really not that hard. There is no way this situation would even be worth going to jail and bonding myself out over.

I doubt they imagined the guy was gonna go full retard like that.

I live in a condo complex and despite all the signs saying 'no furniture' at the end of every month when somone moves out there's a couch or a bed or whatever in there. So the garbage men won't empty it and the property management company has to call someone to come and haul the furniture away.

It's aggravating as hell especislly when you can call a guy off craigslist to come with a truck and haul your furniture to the dump for like $20.

I can only imagine how much more annoying it is when it's your home and not a rental. The big guy was trying to be a bully and show the fat guy who's boss and he found out the hard way it wasn't him afterall.

texans are not hillbillies

I'm pretty sure the term redneck was invented for Texans, and most dont take offense.

My point is it's easy to throw out a comment about 'how do people not know how to de escalate this situation'. It's harder to give an explanation of how you'd do it.

I get it dude...

the older man was definitely the calmer of the three...

senseless violence just gets to me. like shit like this.

That's another thing do we know if they were allowed to put the trash there or not?

Man, I've lived in apartments and wanted to 'California smile' someone for filling up a community garbage bin.

I know people in Tennessee, West Virginia and Pennsylvania that are real hillbillies. They would not take kindly to someone calling some flatlanders in texas "hillbillies".

After they shot the guy, they put a gun to his wife's head and "detained" her. That's a paddlin.

Ok they did what? They are getting in some trouble then that women did nothing wrong.

From the WaPo story it sounds like the man who got killed was putting his mattress in the hillbilly's dumpster. It's incredibly disappointing that none of the journalists reporting this in any newspaper I can find felt compelled to investigate this question...since, you know, it's the most important question to answer. It would tell us why this dumpster was a source of dispute. I can't tell if this was a common trash bin shared between their properties, or if it belonged to the hillbillies exclusively. The alley where it resides is neutral ground, but that doesn't tell us who pays for and has rights to the dumpster itself. I can't infer from the charges who's trash it was.

The Abilene council has shared bins for alleyway collection, so it's likely it was a shared bin and the killers either thought his mattress used up more than his share of room, or that it broke the guidelines on "Bulk Items"

DON'T Put Bulk Items in the Barrel
This includes construction materials, toilets, furniture, etc.

What I don't understand is why the dead guy's brother would hand him a bat to face off with two armed men. Especially if he knew he had a mental condition which led to uncontrolled outbursts.

true true...I guess I'm still trying to wrap my head around this...

about how I would have addressed this situation without shooting someone in the head.

Hey, I have this crazy idea.

Instead of shooting somebody in the head for putting trash near your house, you could politely ask them not to do that anymore and report that person to the police if they do it again.

Man, I've lived in apartments and wanted to 'California smile' someone for filling up a community garbage bin.

I think most folks who have lived in an apartment complex have felt like that at some point.

This just reminds me of the new Mexico compound. How do you have 21 guns, and yet are starving?

Sell a fucking gun.

better yet... make like Jed Clampett and shoot at some food

that allows you to eat and you can still shoot more food

I don't think a person should have to capitulate every time someone pulls a gun on them in an argument. That sets a horrible precedent. I totally understand being enraged at being threatened with death for a mattress in a rural alley. Sure it wasn't smart to threaten them back, but they brought the guns out and made it a matter of life and death for no reason.

It's these trigger happy idiots that give the anti-gun crowd ammo for gun control and fuck it up for the rest of us who actually respect human life.

throw a few fist ffs, shotguns and pistols, fuckin shithole of a country.

Apparently they lived across the street, and this was an ongoing dispute.

I think the key thing we know is that this guy has a diagnosed anger problem, and it resulted in him yelling at the top of his lungs over and over how he was going to murder these two guys, and then he went and got a deadly weapon, a baseball bat, and starting walking towards them.

I don't understand how anyone could question whether this was a good shooting. The guy was diagnosed as being mentally dangerous, verbally threatened, and then got a murder weapon.

To quote Samuel L. Yes he deserved to die......
